Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

My guess is it's dangerously close to 1970, but... just a guess.

Damn, that would be cool to add to my collection... since I have a Westinghouse front loader (or 3).

But alas, it's too far and I'm out of space!

Run! These are fun washers - my guess is this is later 70's by the panel "W" logo, possibly early 80's? Looks like TOL, would have the spiral agitator and handwash agitator underneath. Lots of water (no guilt!) spray rinsing for days and indexing spiralations - who could ask for more? Good luck!

'70s westy

weird to see"white westinghouse"on a coppertone washer-might be 1975-76? i found a
'70s westy once that had a solenoid-actuated tension pulley for the clutch belt
to allow a neutral drain and the same washer also had a black bakelite 4-port
turbine pump resembling a filter flo pump in black instead of the more usuall white
polypropylene 3-port centrifugal drain pump. Some '70s westys also have that pretty
blue ramp agitator..

Sweet

That is a nice machine and a rare prize as well. You should grab it and enjoy it for a while. I would certainly not replace any of your existing collection with this. Tolerate it as long as you can and then perhaps WILL it to another member that has the room.

(Drop it in Gansky's front yard at 3 am and drive like a madman)

What are you waiting for?........put that puppy in the bedroom as a nightstand!

I was thinking Damn....on the wrong side of the country again!

RUN Forest, RUN!

VERY RARE LATE 1970s WHITE-WESTINGHOUSE WASHER

It is differently after 1976 as it is the unshaded copper-tone color and could even be real early 1980s. It is certainly rare as WW was not selling well and quality control was the pits so that the few that made it out of the factory did not have a long life. We were as now servicing all brands of major appliances from the mid 1970s on, and we never saw much from WW in regular washers and dryers. The main thing that we did see were thier FL washers and thier FL stack machines during this time period.

That's a pretty cool washer, Todd!  Notice the 70's incarnation of the 'weigh to save' lid scale on it??   I had a similar one (with the matching dryer!) in Harvest Gold for a couple of years and have bitterly regretted getting rid of it....    You have motive and opportunity.... LOL
