Combo!

I was looking at this a few months back and posted about it but I don't think their being sold as of yet. I have a LG 24" combo I am happy with it but the drying sux. I hang a lot of my clothes anyway. But stuff I want dried I bring to the laundry room in my coop. If I was to get this machine I cant vent so I would have to use one of those water vents. It would be nice to have something bigger but before I would purchase I would want to make sure it is of good quality. One thing I dont like is the fact it uses a ipad to run it. The speed queen FL washers are excellent - but I truly hope if they make it into a combo they would know what they are doing!

Is your LG combo condenser dry or vented dry? I honestly believe heated vent dry is the best way to dry clothes in the fastest and shortest amount of time.

If Sears was still around I'd love have seen the Kenmore Elite version of this. But more than that, I'd like to see the internals of one of these combos.

Thats the pattern I'm seeing with Combos- they all (mostly) seem to be condenser and not forced air drying. A forced air model would solve many problems, capitulating them into fame.

Combo washer/dryer

I had an LG combo unit for 7 months before I got the speed Queen set we have now. Hated it!! We actually killed it in 7 months with the amount of laundry my daily generated because we had run it literally every day, all day to keep up.

Reasons why the combo isn’t as good as it sounds:

You can’t run a full size wash load or you’ll overload the dryer portion (remember the dryer really needs to be twice the size of the washer to work properly.) So we had to either do half loads or pull out half the laundry before they drying cycle. We ended up having it bought back when it failed and left us without a washer for a month because no one could fix it.

You can’t run a wash load AND dry load at the same time, this slows things down more than you’d think especially since the condenser units take 3 hours + to dry.

You wanna see tangled clothes! Yikes the LG was bad!
