Speed Queen ranges?

I don't recall seeing many of these. Were they available in the States?

On the above ranges,

The cooktop configuration is backwards to that in the US where we have the 8 inch surface unit in the right front position on most 30 inch ranges and on some 40s. I think the closest McGraw Edison came to cooking in the US was Toastmaster appliances. They also made York air conditionining products.

I saw a Speed Queen dishwasher once. I would have liked to have taken a peek inside.

That makes sense, because Whirlpool/Inglis Canada bought the SQ name after the McGraw Edison plant closed. I've seen a number of Inglis washers with the SQ name on them. The dishwashers however were D&M which perplexed me.

Raytheon owned,both Modern Maid and Speed Queen labels were placed on "The range that washes dishes " as well as a few of their built in and free standing models.Their ranges were made by Caloric. This was around 1980.

Last year I saw a SQ refrigerator/freezer at a winery not too far from here. Not too sure though whether the 2 and 2 burner controls on the SQ match the 4 together of the Inglis...not sure if they came from the same plant.

I have brochures for U.S. Speed Queen from the early-mid 70's that offer a full-line of appliances.  The ranges were Modern Maid, dishwashers were D&M and refrigerators look to be WCI-Admiral.  They even had disposers (Whirl-a-way) and IIRC, a hot water dispenser.

 

I also have another SQ brochure from about 1936 for refrigerators.  I have no idea who might have made them for SQ if they didn't, but they look like very nice units for their time.

Here's an Admiral range that's certainly related to the Inglis and Speed Queen ranges above (Admiral and Inglis brands used to be related). And even if it's not related to the Hotpoint beside, I have to admit that their design is similar (but almost symmetrical!).
