My Maytag TL LAT2500 is failing and I am looking at new washers. I read old posts about the Speed Queen TL and noticed that the Electronic Control has a slow speed spin after the wash cycle. The knob control has fast speed, of course depending on the cycle selected. Is this still true for the latest crop of Speed Queens? I wish all washers had all cycles described somewhere. By the way, Speed Queen Normal/Eco cycle uses cold water only and has spray rinse all to lower the costs of energy. This is according to the Manufacturer's Owner's Manual.
I am looking at the SQ TL with knob vs Electronic Control. The Salesman stated that they actually have less trouble with the Electronic Control. And it has a longer (5 year) warranty. There are also more options and I am not totally against the Electronic Control. I had a Lady Kenmore with electronic control and it was kinda fun to use.
So at this point I am heading towards the SQ TL machine. I also looked at the Amana BOL machine because it is basically the same as all the other Whirlpools, costs less money, fills with water if selected, and is pretty highly rated.
