Thought this video was a good comparison between the two. He should do another when compered to a GE FF. Personally I thing GE is worse then those WCI Frigidaires.

GE To SQ TL Washer Comparison
Skip the first 25 minutes of this review and probably the whole thing, We all know that the SQ is the better built washer and will outlast 2 or 3 of these GEs, however the GE is a better performer in most ways, better water extraction, will get more lint and heavy dirt out of clothing, balances better in spin, better and more versatile cycle selections and quieter in operation.
If I was going to have one of these two machines in my laundry room it would be the GE, but if I was recommending one of these for a customer that primarily wants durability [ and is not into washers ] it would be the SQ, however I plan on not having either one in my laundry room as I only have room for about 10 AWs and neither of these make the top 10 list.
I don't think much of this guys mechanical ability's or his analysis of the two machines, hes even too lazy or stupid to reverse the dryers door to open correctly for his home, LOL.

You loose me when you call people stupid or lazy. Granted I don't know the guy, but it speaks only on your behalf when you place everyone below yourself when every possible opportunity presents itself.

Quite honestly
I thought the same thing: Kinda lazy, kinda stupid.
He repeats the same obvious things over and over and can't even properly judge a load size that is obviously not extra large.
The comparison of investment and purchase is stupid IMO, it's based on completly wrong definitions of the words.
There are my reviews like these on youtibe, and barely any are helpfull at all.

Oh the irony- I could judge you by the spelling hear alone. But I do not as I know you are a very smart person- and we all make mistakes including myself.
In any case I think the guy does a good enough job- people clearly see the SQ is built like a tank.

The thing is that that is exactly the difference:
Formal mistakes are something that you can just learn by will. I could improve my spelling if I worked on it.
Being abled to create a solid, wholesome argument on the fly isn't learnable per se.
He simply dosen't add anything to the machine.
If he was abled to add things like a detailed comparison of wash results, or help that is not in marketing material or the manual for the setup. Such stuff.
He just tells you what the salesperson would.
Or, even closer: SQ put out a video comparing their TL to a Maytag TL. That offers the exact same information he gives you, just in about 1/3 the time.
His video isn't bad, just nothing especially worth watching.

He tries to sound technical but is not so much. He keeps talking about relays in the SQ. Maybe he's referencing the SQs that were probably before his time?
Before John posted his comments, I too skipped the first 25 minutes of the boring stuff = dialog. I was expecting to see both machines washing something, but he ran the SQ and only talked about the GE. Not a good "comparison" IMHO.
@Henene: Exactly, hence why your spelling is a none issue. I could find strengths and weaknesses in every member at no fault of there own. Everyone is learning and improving- it never stops. If this is the guys first time ever taking apart a washing machine of course he will not know the correct definitions or what a pressure hose is. Many of us learned the correct terminology after hours and hours of reading service manuals and repairing machines. Learning how a washer works in detail is basically obtaining a micro college degree- an era of technology all on its own. The guy could even be IT, skilled trades, perhaps even a mechanical engineer for all we know, but since its not his era of expertise he is left guessing. Assumption often leads us to be way off.
For example, I know utility line workers who can do everything from secondary networks up to new build 500kv, but can not wire a home correctly or to code simply because its so different from their normal line of work in every single regard. Good example: for some utilities green is actually a phase conductor- to the rest of us we know green is ground- so when a guy accidentally slips up calling a ground a "hot" wire I'm sure he will seem like the last person having anything to do with electricity.

There are time constraints (yes I know its a 5-10 minute job) and the fact I am not sure if I will be moving soon or not. No point in swapping the door if the new property requires a swap back.

With a GE/Hotpoint machine, so much I have another set coming, they wash great, filter well and are the easiest washer to work on ever!
