I came across this all electric SQ laundry center which I knew had one problem, it had been monkeyed with.
Someone had wired in a regular 120v plug to use the washer because their house lacked 240v.
That is issue one. I also am missing a ground wire apparently, as I see evidence of one having once been attached. (See pics) I need to know where the black and white wires that have been spliced normally run to.
Issue two is the dryer blower wheel is rubbing against the blower housing. (See pics) What is the fix for a rubbling blower fan, the housing or the fan? What would cause that, heat distortion?The housing is tight to the motor assembly.
Lastly I found a mystery screw (see pic) unlike the usual SQ 5/16” which is predominantly used, any thoughts?
