Believe it or not, it's the seller's husband. He requested to be buried face down above Marilyn.

The seller is moving his body one space over, and selling her spot to pay off the mortgage on her Beverly Hills home, for her children (the payoff balance is $1.7 million). She plans on being cremated when she passes away.

She's going to make a very handsome profit.

I'll reserve voicing my personal opinion about various members of this family, living or dead, but for the benefit of non-Californians, the whole setup is really unique/strange. To get to this cemetery (which once you get there it's this beautiful little place where all kinds of people you would recognize have found their final resting place), you have to know right where to turn off one of the busiest thoroughfares in LA and it's hiding behind modern glass office towers. I never would have known where it was had a friend not taken me there. He's passed himself now, but we had a few fun Sundays perusing some of the "famous people" cemeteries and had a lot of fun.

Jeff or anyone, did you ever see what it was like before all that was built?

Scott, I've never been to that one. But growing up, we lived a few miles from Forest Lawn in Glendale, which is another place to bump into famous ex-people.

right you are Scott....

The Westwood Cemetery is not that easy to find and sort of hidden behind a building or two but it's worth the effort, such a peaceful and beautiful place on a sunny California day. The cemetery that's sort of down the street from me where Frank Sinatra (his marker is always covered with pennies as in the song "Pennies From Heaven,) former mayor Sonny Bono and strangely half of Dinah Shore's ashes are all resting is nice but lacks the lush green look due to the climate here.

As a child I was scared to death of cemeteries and closed my eyes whenever my parents drove by one. Today I find them peaceful and calm places. The little community I live in, Serenity Cove has all of it's streets named after a section of Forest Lawn in Los Angeles...Tranquil, Harmony, Placid etc. I'm glad they changed the name of my street from Repose to Serenity while construction was going on.

All my major organs will be removed and,if need be,placed in someone else's body.I promised my eye balls to the Eye Bank in Baltimore and everything else to Johns Hopkins. I'll be dead and would rather have my remains used to their fullest abilities. After that,I am a Nomad. No family to be at my funeral and no burrial site to be placed.I'd rather be creamated in an RSE36S in poppy red on the Electriclean cycle then have my ashes placed in an old WESTINGHOUSE Laundromat washer where they would flush through(flush, lift, turn, tumble)that fabulous machine and eventualy wind up in the Chesapeak Bay.No horrific church music at my memorial either. Just some great old disco music and happy visiters to celibrate my leaving this life to go to the next level.

I've visited Westwood cemetary before several years ago. It really isn't that big of a place, it's surprisingly small. I think the oldest grave I saw there was Marilyn Monroes. It must have been a new cemetery when she was interred there.
You are right, it is hard to find. Was it like that when it was built? It's kind of like a service drive you turn in on.
Well, if the residents want peace...

dead gentlemen prefer blondes?

i'm one of the biggest marilyn admirers around and i think the whole concept is utterly ridiculous! who in their right mind would pay that much money to be buried next to anyone! let alone marilyn who has been dead 47 years! i'm sure she is looking down and laughing at the whole thing! and the idea of the guy above her being face down must give her a real hoot! "gee, nothing has changed" she probably thinks! or better yet "what end of this guy is next to my face?"

i read thru the roster of stars buried there now and it's incredible! i had no idea so many celebrities were with her there (like she's really there, tell that to the guy above her). really fascinating. when marilyn was buried there it was not a big deal cemetary at all, i think she was the first or at least one of the first really big stars to rest there. she definately put westwood on the map, so to speak.

her "aunt" ana lower is buried there too and marilyn absolutely adored her! she was very influentual in giving marilyn her ability to dream and achieve that dream! it's nice that she is entombed so close to this woman she loved so much!

peace marilyn, love you and always will! will continue to do all i can to erase the stigma of suicide from your legacy and get the truth out!

pete

i know forest lawn was

always the "big" celebrity cemetary. i mean lucille ball is there, that's an "a " list cemetary if ever there was one! if i ever get to calif i would prob check it out! i agree, i like cemetaries, they are peaceful and i could celebrity hop from grave to grave at the same time. i would also definately go to westwood and put some flowers at marilyn's crypt.

there was talk among her hollywood friends (the sintra clan) of her going to forest lawn but joe dimaggio chose westwood for personal reasons and i would bet marilyn would have objected to forest lawn as well. it wasn't her style, she was too down to earth for forest lawn. her closest friends knew that and thank God Joe did what he did! she is the star of westwood memorial to be sure! like said she put it on the map!

funny, she was dressed in one of her favorite dresses, a lime green pucci dress that she wore on that trip to mexico earlier that spring. the one she joked to reporters about saying "you should see it on a hanger" when they commented on how good it fit her. there are many photos and news clips of her in it and it was stunning on her.

yet she wore the wig from the misfits when she was entombed and she never liked that wig! it's a shame she couldn't have had her natural hair made up but as that post autopsy photo shows it was not a good scene to work with! but it least she had that stunning dress on!

Actually Lucille Ball is no longer at Forest Lawn. Her family relocated her to Jamestown, NY (her hometown) back in the late 90's I believe. The Lucy museum is in Jamestown too.

MM didn't have a wake, did she? What was wrong with her hair that couldn't be made to look nice? I always thought she looked so much better with "modern hair" than she did with that 1950's look with all the curls.

no there was no wake or memorial

of any "hollywood" kind. joe dimaggio made all of the arrangements for marilyn's funeral with help from marilyn's half sister and her former business manager. most of hollywood including the majority of marilyn's friends and past lovers were excluded including frank sinatra, dean martin and the rest of the sinatra clan that marilyn had been close to in her previous months. frank sinatra especially had been a lover the year before and always did everything to help her when she needed it!

the 24 people he allowed to attend her memorial at westwood cemetary included her psychiatrist and his family (the Greensons), who marilyn had become a regular house guest to, her publicist pat newcomb, her housekeeper mrs. murray, joe dimaggio's son, the strassbergs from new york (marilyn's acting coach and another extended family) and a few other non hollywood friends, her lawyer, other business associates,
her massuer ralph roberts, her wardrobe assistant. lee strassberg gave her eulogy and judy garland's "over the rainbow" was played as it was one of marilyn's favorite songs.

excluded friends were beyond shock that they could not attend her funeral, some more livid than others. some simply sad. frank sinatra, ella fitzgerald and sammy davis jr. tried to bully their way in using their own security to no avail.

it was especially sad that her best friend robert slatzer whom she knew since the late 40's was not allowed to attend. he was one of her biggest allies and spend the rest of his life investigating her murder. he stood outside the gates with walter winchell and remarked that the only people allowed at her funeral were "strangers, strangers who worked for her". no one tried to seriously confront joe dimaggio as he was stedfast in this decision to exclude the hollywood crowd that he felt had only harmed her. he was particulariy vocal about the mandate that "none of those damn kennedys attend". he felt they were involved in her death. if only he knew then what we know now! maybe he did! marilyn had voiced her concerns and fears to more than a few close friends in her final days! she had confided to robert slatzer the week before she died on the beach at malibu, knowing that her phone was bugged and probably her home. his reply to her was "that kind of information can get you killed". the night of her death she talked to sidney guilaroff about her problems with bobby kennedy and he was shocked. she ended the conversation telling him "you know sidney, i know a lot of secrets about the kennedys". "what kind of secrets" he asked. "dangerous one's" was marilyn's reply as she hung up the phone. jose bolanos, a mexican screenwriter who had been a lover earlier that year and escorted her to the golden globe awards remarked after her death that he had been the last person to talk to marilyn the night she died. he said that "marilyn told me something that will one day shock the entire world". now we know that he was most probably referring to marilyn's knowledge of the then top secret "operation mongoose" cia/ mafia plan to assassinate fidel castro. bobby kennedy had made her privy to this information and i believe it is directly related to her murder. it is what robert slatzer was referring to when he told her "that kind of information can get you killed". soviet news agency tass concurred with this theory when after marilyn died it published a news item stating "marilyn was killed by the cia because she planned to expose the plot to assassinate fidel castro". as norman mailer wrote in his 1972 biography "marilyn" "high stakes were riding on her life, even higher stakes on her death". people thought he was crazy at the time, now they don't. and now we know that jose bolanos was indeed the last person to talk to marilyn that night as she put the phone down to answer her front door and never returned, just as he stated!

this is a very emotional subject for me, i could go on, evidence after evidence, fact after fact! but back to her funeral.

the decision was made to use the wig from the misfits by marilyn's makeup artist whitey snyder and his fiance marjorie pletcher who had the heartbreaking task of making her up for her funeral. marilyn had asked whitey to do it for her years ago and he did not let her down.sidney guilaroff had orgionally shown up to do her hair but on seeing marilyn's remains after autopsy fainted on the floor. so whitey and his future wife (who had both just been to marilyn's house the previous wedesday for a cookout to celebrate her new million dollar contract on "somethings got to give" and "what a way to go") decided to use that wig when attempts to style her own post autopsy formaldehyde soaked hair had failed.

anyone who has seen that autopsy photo can see why that wig was used and why sidney guilaroff fainted. it was a shocking picture! marjorie pletcher did manage to joke a bit with her future husband that if marilyn could see herself with no breasts she would die! they cut up a cushion to make marilyn a bosom for her funeral. the green pucci dress selected had a very high neckline.

all in all extermely sad for all of marilyn's close friends to be excluded from her funeral and for whitey and marjorie especially to have to make her up dead when only a week before they had been celebrating with her in life!

and for joe dimaggio it was extremely painful in spite of whether he did the right thing or not with her funeral. he spend the night before her funeral at her coffin side on his knees and ofcourse we all know he sent roses to her crypt 3 times a week for the next 20 years, only stopping due to expense later in his life. robert slatzer took over by sending white roses after dimaggio stopped. both joe dimaggio and robert slatzer carried her torch and memory till their dying day! her friends who are still alive still speak of her with the utmost respect and love! and more often than not with tears.

so these people who want to sell the crypt above her and the people who dream of buying it know nothing of the real marilyn monroe! her life or her death! that's my take on it, some may disagree, it's ok! `

MM's Hair

Google for the post morteum photographs of Miss. Monroe, her hair is not in the best condition, even allowing for the circumstances.

Would have been very hard in those days to tell when a woman, especially a famous one like MM was wearing her own hair versus a wig and or hair pieces. Both were very common in the 1950's and 1960's also given what Miss. Monroe's hair must have suffered from all that bleaching, toning, hot movie set lights and general abuse over the years, it probably would have needed some "help" to looks it's best.

Am also assuming it was much easier then for a hair stylist to do a wig and have it placed on Miss. Monroe, rather than try to wash, set, and style hair on a body in a prone position.

Took a peek at the "guest list" for the above mentioned cemetary, pretty impressive! See Miss. Taylor has her spot already reserved. Miss. Eve Arden and so many other greats are there as well, including Miss. Peggy Lee. Another full figured blonde haired gal.

On the wild assumption that one could "speak" to Miss. Monroe whilst lying above her, would only want to know who did her in, but being the lady she was in life, she probably shouldn't answer. Didn't know she had so many abortions, with one just a few weeks before her death. Miss. Jane Russell had a horrible thing done as a young girl, thus never could have children.

$4,500,000.00

Amazes me that there are that many people with that much money to throw around. It would be awful if the winner and Marilyn didn't get along.

WOW.

I've been to that cemetery and it is truly a bizarre location. Looks like the city grew around it. So many recongnisable (sp?)names!

What a concept. But good for the seller to be so practical. Let someone's huge ego make your life debt-free and cash-rich!

Don't know if I agree with excluding people who knew the deceased from a funeral. It's a time for healing and reconciling. Helps the living move on as well via the healing.

My brand of Voo-doo (religion) believes that the spirit of the deceased has the right to stay Earth-bound for forty days. Damn, I'd like to excercise that right and see what they REALLY think as they come to kiss me off to the next plane.

marilyn had voiced her concerns and fears to more than a few close friends in her final days! she had confided to robert slatzer the week before she died on the beach at malibu, knowing that her phone was bugged and probably her home.

Actually she died in the bedroom of her Brentwood home on Fifth Helena.

the truth be told

she didn't die in her "locked" bedroom as the story went for over 20 years. she died in her guest house, she was discovered by mrs. murray and her son in law norman jeffries comatose at the time from an injection given to her by someone else. mrs. murray called the ambulance and marilyn died a few minutes later.

if you are interesterd in the facts as they have been uncovered over the years i can direct you where to get them!

she did not die of suicide or accidental overdose. the amount of drugs found in her blood at autopsy proves it had to be homicide. she could not have administered that level herself as sher would have died way before the blood level reached that high percentage. the truth has been in the autopsy report all along! the last key witness to come forward before he died gave a shocking account of what happened!

I had heard before that she died in the guest house but was transported to her bedroom after she died but before the police came.

Yes please do give a link to the more shocking account. I'd be interested in reading it.

Is anyone involved with her death still alive?

Wait don't tell us, the mob hit her with a chloral hydrate enema.

Seriously, this was a simple case of two doctors not knowing what the other was doing with the same patient. Monroe was still taking massive doses of Nembutal from one MD (it's been established she appeared heavily drugged that day). Meanwhile the other MD thought she had weaned off Nembutal and prescribed her chloral hydrate, which either she or someone else administered that night.

It appears no one explained to her the combination can easily be deadly.

That housekeeper went to her grave not telling what she clearly knew. On the face of things her story did not add up( who does laundry at 4:30AM and cleans up around a dead person because they want the place to look nice for "company", nor did any of the others who were there when the first LE arrived.

It would have been very difficult if not impossible for MM in her "drugged" state, or indeed in her right mind to give herself a drug laced enema. The question is who and why.

Yes, it does seem likely that MM could have died from medical error, much the same as Michael Jackson, Anna Nichole Smith and countless other lesser or unknown persons.

Anyone who has arrived at an overdose suicide knows persons do not simply "fall asleep" but rather go through vomiting and fits as the body reacts to the drugs.

While MM may not have been murdered, she died just the same because medical attention was not summoned quickly (again that housekeeper has much to answer for), or by the time it did arrive (there is one report that MM was taken to hospital in a coma, and died there, then was brought back home. That one finds hard to believe as certianly by now somone in the ER or knew of the events that night would have talked. lllllll

Sad thing was that MM had no near next of kin like a husband or parent who could have stepped in and made decisions regarding the autopsy, which was badly handled. Reports and organs went missing, the rather young ME couldn't make up his mind, etc.

While Robert Kennedy was in the area of MM's home, and several persons stated cleary the Attorney General was seen going into MM's home with another man (who was carrying a black medical bag), knowing the straight as an arrow moral compass of that particular Kennedy brother, it is very hard to believe he would be party to murder

no unfortunately that is not true

you know what they say

just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that people aren't talking about you"

it was simply not a case of two doctors not knowing what each other had done. that was ruled out years ago by serious investigation. sounds simple enough but not true in marilyn's case.

enema was ruled out although it was a possible means of administering the drugs that killed her. when she died her heart stopped (obviously) as blood flow and absorption of drugs into her body stopped as well. she could not have gotten that high a blood percentage of drugs from an enema, she would have died long before it reached that level. only injection could have reached that level.

marilyn had a prescription drug problem, she was alcoholic, but that doesn't mean she wasn't killed. her death took place only weeks before the cuban missle crisis and if anyone has forgotten how close we all came to getting nuked that fall i invite you read up on that fascinating peice of our history as well. robert kennedy's book "thirteen days" is a great place to start". her death is intertwined in that whole political scene of 1962. she knew too much and she was not being discreet!

evidence is overwhelming! people started to tell their story as time went on. even anthony sommers who wrote an excellent book on marilyn "goddess" and originally had stated in that book that "probably no foul play took place" recanted that remark later after more investigation. he is recorded as saying "what started in that little house in brentwood could very well have ended in deeley plaza". he also wrote a book on j. edgar hoover, head of the f.b.i. at the time. hoover made the statement "marilyn was murdered, the kennedy's were involved". as said even "tass", the soviet news agency reported it later stating "marilyn was murdered by the c.i.a. because she planned to expose the plot to assasinate fifel castro".

and that's just for starters! her autopsy proved it could not be accidental such as two doctors not knowing what the other prescribed to her as one friend above stated in his post. that little attempt to cover up the facts surrounding marilyn's homicide was hyped big time by author donald spoto who's book can not be taken seriously. he had nothing to say that added to the case. author Donald woolfe, who wrote an excellent book on martilyn's death after the spoto thing came out states "spoto's book is nothing more than an obvioius attempt to exonerate bobby kennecy from involvement in her death". i read that book and woolfe is correct! he added nothing new to the case and attempted to further spread a web of disinformation in an attempt to clear kennedy's name. marilyn's psychiatrist dr. ralph greenson was implemented in spoto's book and greenson's family was outraged at such an accusation. truth be told greenson was a
spectator to the drama that unfolded in marilyn's life at the end. he was privy to a lot of information but he was not in any way responsible for her death. it was later discovered that he was a member of the communist party at the time but even that wasn't enough to get marilyn labeled a "security risk-communist" by the cia and fbi in july of 1962. marilyn had a lot of communist friends!

she took a trip to mexico in feb 62 and met with her friend frederick fields who was known to be a communist agent. this fact did get her on that cia list! fields was mentioned by name on that report. fields came to new york shortly before marilyn was killed and stayed at her apartment there! i'm not saying she was passing information but she had communist friends and she was sleeping with our attorney general at the same time russia was beginning to install nuclear missles in cuba! a crucial point in the cold war and a time where we came extremely close to nuclear war only 9 weeks after marilyn died!

norman jeffries, the handiman and son in law to marily's housekeeper eunice murray finally came forward shortly before dying of cancer a few years ago and told what happnened. he was there that day all day and saw it all! the housekeeper herself after years of lying finally on tape stated in an interview with anthony sommers "why do i have to continue covering up this thing at my age" and then proceeded to tell the story!

other people to finally talk included the police officer that stopped peter lawford's car with bobby kennedy inside racing to get kennedy to the airport shortly after marilyn died.

the call to arthur jacobs at the hollywood bowl before 11 p.m. that sat nite telling him marilyn was dead (witnessed by his wife) even though her death was reported to be hours later. rigor mortis discovered by the morticians proving she died much earlier than reported. the neighbors playing cards reporting seeing bobby kennedy entering marilyn's house for the second time that day, this last time shortly after 10 p.m. in the compnay of 2 others, just as norman jeffries stated. jose bolanos testimony that he was talking to marilyn about 10 p.m. and she put the phone down to see what the commotion was in the living room and never returned. peter lawford's stating that he tried to call marilyn at that time and both phone lines were busy (which jives with jeffries and bolanos testimony).

again that is just the tip of it all!

let me clear up one thing here. i am not just a marilyn "fan" looking for a sensational way to justify her death and get my jollies for the day! i do not read "national enquirer" unless i want some humor! i do not believe in every conspiracy theory to hit the pike. i don't call myself a "fan" of marilyn at all. i refer to it as an "admirer". i have a very unique attraction to this woman that is hard to put into words. eccentric yes, but i am also well informed on the subject. i have been studying her death (and life) since 1969 when i wrote my first peice on her for high school. i have read every serious book on marilyn many times and have a lot of the interviews recorded on tape. i have made studying her death part of my life for 40 years. not one to brag but i am very knowlegable on this subject, more so than most due that most people only get bits and peices and then form their own opinion without researching the facts.

the facts are out there if you look.

no, this is not just a "fan" beating his drum to say she was murdered to sensationalize it all, this is the case of a woman who knew about the plot to assasinate fidel castro at a time when that info was top secret. this was a woman with commuunist friends at a time when a few weeks later we almost had a nuclear war with these communists. this was a woman who was labeled a "security risk-communist" by the cia and fbi only weeks before she died. this was a woman who's house was bugged at that time. this was a woman who was intimate with the attorney general of the united states and recently with the president. this was a woman who had a known drug dependency as well as alcohol problem. and she was not being discreet about what she knew and she had a rage against both bobby and jack kennedy. mostly bobby. she was threatening to go public the next week and had even ordered an outfit made by jean louis that some believe was in preparation for this proposed press conference. in any case she was not suicidal that last week or day or her life at all. she was making lots of plans. she had just been rehired to finish her film "something's got to give" and her salary increased from 100,000 to a million. she was not despondent.

another peice of disinformation to come out was the testimony of her physician, dr. englebert. he never talked for years, he stayed compelely silent. then when the unfinished film "something's got to give was finally realeased in a documentary proving marilyn was not the despondent wreck on the set that the cover up had stated for 30 years he "talked" he painted marilyn as a manic depressive who was up that last day of her life, then something caused her to plunge "down' into despondency that nite resulting in her "grabbing those lethal pills" he even added a titillating end to his story staing "maybe she was dispaointed in love" or something to that affect hinting at her disintegrated relationship with bobby kennedy and a phone call from him. i could look it up here. funny, englebert wasn't even at her house that day until after she died that nite around 10:45 p.m. and greenson the psychiatrist called him. he was obviously lying. a lot of people lied because they were a part of the coverup for years and years and the statute of limitation on murder never runs out. englebert and greenson were the one's to finally report her death to the police almost 5 hours later and were there when the first police sgt. arrived. englebert was a huge part of the coverup in the beginning, no wonder he didn't say anything for almost 40 years. what is sad is that when he did talk in that documentary it was more lies attempting to revive that same old coverup theory, a coverup that eunice murray admitted on tape was a big lie years before "why must i cover up this thing at my age".

it's a well known fact that alcoholics are often lebeled as manic depressive, i know as i am a recovering alcoholic, sober 12 years. once we get sober the symptions of bi polar often leave. funny, nothing had ever been said before about marilyn being bi poilar until he made this statement. anyone who drinks and used drugs has the highs and lows like that of a manic depressive. i'm not saying she wasn't but again it shows how this disinformation spreads. ah, another new way to "prove" she took her own life, "bi polar", disapointed in love by a phone call that nite! that's why i say that even though marilyn had problems associated with drugs and alcohol it doesn't mean larger forces were not involved in her death and a massive coverup installed after her murder!

the truth be told marilyn's last day was filled with anxiety and a visit from kennecy that ended in a violent row and left marilyn in a rage. dr greenson came over and calmed her down. marilyn spent the eveneing in her bedroom talking with friends on the phone while mrs murray and norman jeffries stayed in the living room watching tv until around 10 p.m. when kennedy showed up again along with 2 other men and ordered them out of the house. marilyn was talking to bolanos, put the phone down to see what the problem was in the living room and then it all happened. when the 3 men left shortly after murray and jeffries returned to the house to disvover marilyn in the guesst house comatose from a massive drug injection. her dog maf alerted them that she was there. murray called an ambulance and dr greenson and lawford and marilyn's press agent pat newcomb arrived at the same time. marilyn had a phone in that guest house (the second phone line) and had attempted to call lawford for help as she was going under from the injection. lawford called her back and found both lines busy, the first line from the call with bonanos, the second as she went under while reaching out for help to lawford!

so in a way she did die with a phone in her hand, although not in her locked bedroom as the suicide, accidental overdose coverup tried to paint.

nope, she was murdered in one of the biggest coverups of the 20th century, a coverup that still continues to this day to a limited extent, not nearly with the force it once did.

she died by a massive injection administtered by someone in the presence of bobby kennedy and was found comatose in her guest house when mrs murray and her son in law came back to the property after being ordered out by these men a few minutes earlier. norman jeffries was the last key wtitness to come forward and his testimony was the missing link that tied it all together.

and yes, she was moved to her own bedroom when the coverup story of her "suicide" was set in place later that nite. lividity on her body proved she origionally died while on her back and then was placed on her stomache. the presence of cyanosis on her body proved a rapid death and loss of oxigen as would be consistent with an injection of a massive dosage of barbiturates.

for anyone seriously wishing to read up on the facts of marilyn's death i can direct you where to go for that information. for those who simply don't believe she was murdered or that bigger forces were involved, well it's not my role in life to try to change that i guess. but as i have said to many people many times before i will go to my own death defending the memory of this lady and helping to get the truth out surrounding her homicide. why? God only knows, i just feel for her, i actually feel her with me a lot of the time. she is with me always. guardian angel, maybe? link to my dead mother, perhaps? possession, don't think so, i've never been one to don a blonde wig and wiggle around my house! thank God i'm not a drag queen! i could be doing that! all i can say to any of the people in my life that i know as a real friend and who consider me a real friend is that marilyn and i are connected, some way. i'll find out the answer to that one when i die. in the meantime i will defend her as i would any close friend! she did nhot take her own life, either accidentally or by suicide, her death was a homocide!

marilyn's death is also a part of the cold war history of the u.s. and russia, a history i find fascinating. marilyn's death is the sad end to a woman who although had her problems had the spark and the dream to become at that time the most famous woman in the world! remember she said "i'm dreaming the hardest". marilyn deserves better than to be labeled with the stigma of suicide or accidental overdose when in fact her life was taken from her violently by a drug overdose administered by an injection that left it's evidence in the files of her autopsy all these years!

(excuse spelling mistakes if any uncorrected. want this get this posted before my computer decides to crash or something, it is way too much to re-do!

Rent the movie

Last week, I watched 'Some Like It Hot,' starring MM. My friend commented that she was quite large a woman by today's standards. The girl sure could wiggle and some could take lessons [I won't mention any names].

The movie was filmed in 1959 and unfortunately the DVD doesn't have any extras. Was fun to see Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in drag [poor things]

something else i left out

that must be stated here!

the coverup that started to unravel in the 80's and unraveled much more in the 90's, documented unraveling by lot's of testimony by lots of people who finally talked, this coverup was so extensive and intricate that there is no way possible it could have been put in place and maintained all those years by a psychiatrist, a doctor, a housekeeper, even 20th century fox! this coverup went much deeper into our government realm. files disapearing, phone records taken, death threats given to people such as marilyn's best friend robert slatzer (who wrote 2 books on the subject). lied fabricated and told, pay off's given to those who took part in it. jobs secured (such as pat newcomb, marilyn's press agent going to work in bobby kennedy's office, mrs. murray taking a six month tour of europe when she had little money, arthor jacobs becoming a producer at 20th century fox, car washes bought with hush money by one of the ambulance drivers to name some.

and if one says the government did get involved in a coverup then what did our government take the time and the money to cover up? certainly not the reputation of a doctor, housekeeper, and psychiatrist! why would they care!

several attempts were made to re-open the case and both were shut down in main stream by political pressure!

the cover up was put in place to protect bobby kennedy and to keep secret the fact that marilyn was murdered by injection in the presence of bobby kennedy at her house that nite with our government's full involvement. whether the 2 men with him were cia hit men, mafia hit men (the mafia and cia were jointly combined at that time in operation mongoose) or some other level of government hit men the fact remains she was killed and the kennedy's were involved just as j. edgar hoover stated. and as robert slatzer stated in his second book, referring to bobby kennedy's involvement at her home that nite "like the general he was, he gave the order!".

for any serious inquiries

i would suggest starting with donald woolfe's book "the final days of marilyn monroe" as woolfe does an excellent job of taking past information that has come out and blending it with the new testimoney given by norman jeffries before he died of cancer.

"marilyn the last take" should be the second book to follow-up woolfe's book. very informative and revealing when it came out in the early 90's. also a great book to read if you like movie trivia as it dives deep into marilyn's relationship with 20th century fox in 1962 when she was filming her last film "something's got to give". very humorous as well with great insight into george cukor as well. and some funny bits about liz taylor too! fun reading in spite of it's ominous theme.

robert statzer (marilyn's staunchest supporter and best friend) wrote 2 books, i would suggest reading "the marilyn files" but only after reading the 2 mentioned above. his work has a lot of good info inside, unfortunately it is not edited well for smooth reading. but he gets a a+ for his work from me in spite of that fact.

"crypt 33" should also be read but it was also published in the early 90's and not all info that we now know was out at that time. but a good source and well worth reading.

and after reading those i can direct you much further. anyone can e mail me direct about it if they like.

> marilyn had problems associated with drugs and alcohol it doesn't mean larger forces were not involved in her death and a massive coverup installed after her murder! <

I don't believe in massive coverups. People aren't that smart, consistent or reliable. In Monroe's case I believe medical malpractice was definitely involved, but not murder.

Steve 1-18

MM was a size "14", and even though dress sizes have changed somewhat since the 1950's and 1960's, the lady was healthy.

Being as the above may, the 1950's and until "Tiwggy" arrived on the scene in the 1960's, was the era of curvy women. Bosoms, hips, the lot. All encased in girdles and bullet proof bras. As a girl said in the film "Niagara" whem MM strolls by fillng out every inch of tight red dress "a girl has to start laying down plans at 13 to wear a dres like that".

No self respecting model, actress, or even cutie today would be caught dead with a body like MM,Jane Russell, Elizabeth Taylor, or any of the other goddess of the 1950's. All that jiggling and cellulite.
