So I have this really cool new LG steam washer. The water and soap from the soap dispenser enters the heart of the wash directly thru a portal by the door rather than directly in to the outer tub. So I was wondering why no one has used spray rinsing in FL washers. As the tub spins water poring directly on to the spinning load would give a great rinse before a deep rinse or two. Anyone know if there are an FL washers that utilize spray rinsing?

Yes, the Hoover Dynamic 8-Pulse does...

The main purpose of the water jets in this front loader is to to spray a high concentration of water+detergent solution over the load at the beginning of the wash cycle ... but the jets are also used on rinsing on every possible cycle (even on the 14 minute one) to facilitate the same.

When the link opens, go straight to 13:10 to see the 1st rinse on the Dynamic.

 
Forgot to say...

It might be spray rinsing but unlike the spray rinsing on a top-loader... this is just the rinse water being recirculated... it's not pumping it out as it's loading it...

Does a 25 second fresh water spin spray rinse before pulse spins. Very effective for a suds kill!

The LG/Kenmore washers with TurboWash/AcellaWash spray rinse clothes, as do the Samsung Speed Spray models (I think).

My washer will fill water directly into the drum with the drum spinning at a low speed - but it's not a spray rinse as such.

RE: Speed Queen. Is the jet aimed at the clothes? When I used commercial SQ, the jet just hit the back of the drum and that was it.
 
During rinse spins, My Samsung pours water down the door that gets sucked into the spin. Quite fun to watch.
 
With Decent Water Usage

Front loading washing machines do not normally require spray rinses or any such. However as efforts to reduce water consumption lead to restrictions on water use, spray rinses can help bridge the gap.

For instance many commercial/laundromat washing machines have a period of flushing/slucing where water enters the moving tub whilst the drain valves are open. This serves to flush out/rinse laundry in the tub but also clears the sump area of suds after rinses. The largest SQ front loader at our local *used* to do this between one or two of the rinses, but from what one can see that option may now have been turned off.

On the domestic side our older Miele washer will send water down the front/glass during the final rinse filling as well as the normal between the tub filling. IIRC this is to clear any suds or whatever away from the front of the tub after the preceeding spin cycle.
