I Have Found....

That Mountain Dew Distortion is supposedly available at present as a "freeze" flavor at Taco Bell.

That's not the same as having the flavor widely available as regular pop, and there's an added drawback - you have to visit Taco Bell, of all places, to get it.

Still, it's something. Might be worth a trip to TB just for that - I haven't been a regular customer there since they killed off the Chihuahua.

Mountain Dew "Distortion" drink-How'bout get Mountain Dew than squeeze a lime into it?What I DON'T like about MD is the caffeine-must these drink and soda companies put caffeine into everything?I don't want caffeine in what is a FRUIT drink.

To the best of my knowledge, Mountain Dew has always contained caffeine since its introduction in the 1940's, and certainly since Pepsi's purchase of the brand in 1964. I didn't drink it much at all after they started putting HFCS in it, but now do drink Mountain Dew Throwback that is made with sugar. It tastes much like what I remember drinking in the 60's.

The Italian female cooking person has this recipe and it sounds right good: (sorry to bring the thread back to ice cream)

1 can sweetend and condensed milk
300 ml "double cream"
2 T "Instant Expresso"
1 T espresso liquor

Mix all in mixer using wisk until soft peak stage, put in containers and freeze.

I made it!

This looked so good I had to try. What the recipe leaves out is that the canned milk, beaters/whisk and bowl need to be very cold when you start for best results. It is SOOOOO good! Doesn't make a lot but you don't need a lot to be satisfied. It's very intense in it's coffee flavor, so I'm going to try it again using instant coffee for comparison.
