Not sure what I think of it. Sort of like fake yet fanciful vintage stuff. Not bad looking, I'd rather have a modern, shock and water proof hardened notebook than a pseudo early 20th century one.
 
Steampunk is nifty...

But I prefer Cyberpunk. I type on an unmodified model M (actually an MII with the integral trackball -a rare bird indeed!) Sadly the more interesting keyboards out there are seldom for the IBM compatibles most of us hammer away at -they're all for terminals of one stripe or another. I'd love to find something that sparks of the old terminals, with smooth, black keys, colored function keys, and a huge case. Until something like that comes along, I'll stick with my model M. The typing feel is unsurpassed.
 
What a cleaver idea...

Blending the old with the new. Now, I'm not an advocate for destroying any vintage item that still has utility, but if that piece has reached it's useful life, and can then be transformed into something that is pleasing to the eye and, again, becomes functional, I say "it's all good"!
