Strange Vacuum to See

Have yall seen this model before? Does it remind you of the Portable, with a weird twist?

Have something like this. A vacuum inside a green vinyl ottoman called the Decor Vac. looks like it could be right at home in the Brady den. Tools and wands go in the lid and the hose wraps around the inside on top of the motor area.

That gets major points for clever design.

First of all, in Japan, indoor space is at a premium, so turning a vacuum into a piece of casual furniture makes it do double duty and saves space.

Second, when you want to vacuum, the vacuum is right in the room, you don't have to go get it from the closet.

Third, the feature that automatically shakes out the filter when the cord rewinds is way clever and cool, I have never seen or heard of anything like that before (what's going on here is that the cord reel is connected to an off-center rotor that acts like a vibrator or beater to shake the filter).

IMHO that design is even ahead of the present times in certain ways.

That it is a very neat vacuum. I would be tempted to bid on it but shipping from the UK is a pain, more because of the price not the actual process.

Marty dod have the Decor Vac at the convention last year. It was a very different looking vacuum.
