If you are old enough to remember Studio One...This might be of some interest to you.

Just an FYI, if this series ran from 1948-58, that means it's now in the public domain. Paying for it is optional.

Studio One was Awesome!!!

I was lucky that a local Public Station in New Orleans played these programs nightly. Usually after midnight. So, I guess this is what caused me to be a night person. I was just a kid, not even a teen yet, when I would watch these on my little B&W television in my room.
The programs not only attracted me to amazing acting. I did not know that there was this art form until then. I thought that film as I saw it as a small child, was just someone in their homes, being captured. I know that sounds silly, but I was naive.
I saw so many stars back then in re-runs, that I wish to goodness there was a such thing as a video recorder.
I could go on for a long time, but I won't....
I don't know if the original Westinghouse commercials will be in these DVD releases.
The programs at the time really formed me into reality, in one way or another, and I don't think it is half bad when I look back on it.
I think this will be a great collection also, if you are into this early television.
All of these stars are gone from this world. They really became a icon, in their own way from early television, and film. It kind of makes you notice how easy it is to get public acceptance these days, with much less talent.
