There I was, skulking around the St. Vincent de Paul on my lunch break, and there it was - this little gem of a can opener! Ninety-nine cents later, we were on our way home.

It's a GE, but I don't think I've ever seen this model before - and I've seen plenty of can openers.

st vincent is great!

that cute little thing looks like it could just strut across that counter any minute! i luv st. vincent de paul, in there once a week at least and i'd say every minor appliance i have came from there! and they do a lot of good for the community so every penny we spend somehow helps someone else.

This was advertised during the original airing of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. One of the elves was sitting on top of a can while it was being opened.

my childhood before me

We had that can opener for awhile when I was growing up. My Mom replaced the can opener fairly often, it is funny now that I think about it, she replaced all the appliances fairly often.
