It's that time of year again in the Midworst... August is for Vintage Car Shows!!!

Here are a few pictures from last weeks show, along with a few at the end, mixed in from a past show.

My friend Travis drove the Olds this time, so I got to bring the 55 Cadillac to it's first car show. YAAAY!!

It was the "coming out" show for the "Cat" And she was flirting with the boyz.

Meanwhile "Gangsta Travis" is keeping an close eye on the Olds.... As it is under his watch for the whole day.

I was drooling over this early 50's Cadillac! One day I will have to get a convertible again!

Tim, and his 1961 Cutlass. He is the friend that I always attend this car show with.We always put the 61 Super 88 next to Tim's 61 Olds Cutlass. He is also the guy that paints all my appliances.

WOW!! Now these were so ugly they were always kewl!! 1959 Buick. My aunt and uncle had one of these when I was a kid. We were afraid to get our bikes out of the garage when that car was in there. When I stayed at their house I called it the "mean machine" LOL!!

1963 Plymouth Fury. Remember those trays from the drive in?

A 1923 Dodge Brothers car. This car is totally original! Orignal interior,fabric top,paint,drive train, etc. The car is just really something, just because it is so old, and so original

Tim thinks he is being cool..... Until I yelled out over the crowd, "NOT UNLESS YOU STILL RESPECT ME IN THE MORNING TIM" LOL!!! Most car shows are very casual. And to me, casual is always the most FUN!!

Lining up for the parade. And the parade for this show goes from north of the city, to south of the city! Several miles. Lots of vintage cars from most every era. So much fun! And Travis is on cloud #9 driving the Olds all over town!!

That '51 Ford and the '59 Eldorado are heart-stoppers!

Thanks for the great pictures, Rick! There's a "town" right by me that's basically a suburb but it has a downtown/main street set up, and they have a really great car show every spring. I'd heard about it then stumbled upon it by accident the day it was going on this year. Great fun!

Rick, thanks so much for the fun. We have an old car, but not old enough to be in shows, even though she is a beauty. It is an original 1985 Lincoln Town Car, 70k miles.

The 59 Eldorado like Greg says, is heart-stopping!
