I put this year's final work into the Super Unimatic, finishing up Super Unimatic 2.0. The major changes since the last round of pictures <br
Moving the detergent dispenser to the inside of the machine, make a new hinged lid, designing a better softener dispenser flume so there is no chance of one drop of softener falling into the outer tub and using 3 coats of POR-15 along the top where I've done so much drilling to prevent any rusting. Also I have completely redesigned the user interface <br
Here are some new shots...

Look at all of those delicious SUDS!

After the prewash during the fill, the recirculation pump with inject all of those cleansing suds into the wash tub.

I designed the detergent dispenser with two inlet flumes, one from the top and one to sweep the floor of the dispenser. This way the dispenser is completely flushed free of detergent, even with tap cold water. I cannot stand some of these modern detergent dispensers that do not flush every last bit of detergent into the wash tub and leave a mess after.

That is just too cool <br
So, what do you figure a consumer would have to pay to actually have a machine like that one of it was available on the market?

WhooHoo! Time to post vids of the machine on youtube! Why? Because videos are worth 1,000 pictures. They can also show us what pictures can't such as what the machine sounds like, or the final results of a load. Now to build yourself a dream Front-Loader. Good luck trying to find a Whirlpool Duet on the curb to work with though because they are VERY DURABLE machines!

How fun!! Robert, you just keep on perfecting this creation of yours! Are you going to make it dry and fold the clean clothes next? <: <br
That will be a fun toy to play with at the convention.

<i>So, what do you figure a consumer would have to pay to actually have a machine like that one of it was available on the market?</i
To be honest Andrew I haven't the foggiest idea. It would be really expensive though I sure <br
<i>Good luck trying to find a Whirlpool Duet on the curb to work with though because they are VERY DURABLE machines!</i
I've seen at least three of these in the Alleyway trash over the last few years <br
<i>Are you going to make it dry and fold the clean clothes next? <: </i
No, but I'm thinking about Super Unimatic 3.0 for next year already. 240 volts with 20amps like a Miele, 240volt heater, something to accurately measure the water temperature and something to accurately measure the rpm's of the tub and display both of these readings on the computer screen <br
<i>Robert, you must have the cleanest clothes in town! </i
Thanks Allen, Actually I have noticed an improvement in the Whiteness of my whites with this machine quite drastically.

If you mentioned you will next start work on your dream Front-Loader, did you drag the Duets in for parts? Is your dream Front-Loader this Super Unimatic 3.0? Are you going to make your dream dryer? How about posting some videos of the Super Unimatic 2.0?

<i>Is your dream Front-Loader this Super Unimatic 3.0?</i
No that would have to be the "Super Duet 1.0" I believe. I'm in no rush to get that project started, maybe sometime later next year if I happen to run across a dead Duet.

Hi Robert. Sorry I will not be in Omaha to see the
Super Unimatic. I am getting new kitchen and bathroom cabinets with corian countertops. Demolition starts Tuesday and new cabinets arrive Friday morning. Thank you for the fascinating pictures. Looks like a fun machine. Have a great time in Omaha <br <br

You should have a form of illumination for the basket and the outer cabinet. You also need a way to control all those suds. Maybe using HE detergent.

You also need a way to control all those suds.

WELL, just stick a knife through my heart why don't cha! You've gooooooooot to be kidding me, *Serina looking down over the top of her sunglasses at you*</i <br
Why in the world would you want to control all of those beautiful cleansing suds? Don't you know that you'll have cleaning failures without heaping suds Mister! This machine thrives on tons of suds, the suds help remove dog hair and lint from the clothes. Someone hasn't been paying very close attention to my Super Unimatic threads now has he <br
Can your washer thrive on lots of suds, if not there is probably something wrong with it. Hmmph, <br
<i>*I'm poping out of the room now with one of my grand exits*

Sorry. I've not seen the older Super Unimatic threads because I just discovered this site last June. But I could read them if you tell me where they are in the archives. And what about basket/cabinet lighting?

I'm just teasing you Funguy, forgive me. You are young and haven't seen 40 and 50 year old washers before so I assume you didn't realize that some older washers handle suds removal very well. <a href=http://www.automaticwasher.org/TD/ARCHIVE/VINTAGE/2007/12889x106.htm target=_blank> Here is the last big Super Unimatic Post.</a <br
<i>Where in the world did you get such a beautiful 63/64 vintage agitator??? *swoons*</i
Hi Nate, I found it brand new in a box, never used in a basement in an old store in rural Iowa. *swooning back at new rings <br
Oh dear, <br
<font size=6>THIS LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE A JOB FOR THE Super Unimatic 2.0!</font

Washing the clown clothes tonight we got a bit carried away with the detergent, whoops, we filled the entire outer cabinet full of suds!

I Love This

When the washer throw out the water in the tub into the outer cabinet, the suds came whipping back in and around...

Since I have trained to the computer to watch out for a super duper oversuding situation, the machine stops the tub and lets the suds settle a few minutes while pumping them down the drain.
