I recently bought a box of Surf detergent. It is made by Sun Products Corporation. Didn't Surf used to be a P&G product? Or was it Unilever? Also, what the hell kind of an add on is "Active Cleaning"? Maybe I want the Surf with "Inactive Cleaning!! GOOD GRIEF!! LOL

Surf And Sun Products

Several years ago, Unilever sold its American and Canadian detergent brands (All, Wisk, Sunlight and Surf, along with Snuggle fabric softener) to the former Huish Detergents (maker of Sun detergents and private label products). The deal created a new company, Sun Products. (The Sun website does not list Surf among its products; Surf was a Unilever brand in the States, and is still sold by Unilever in other countries.)
As for "active cleaning," I have no clue. I do agree "active" is better than "inactive"! I do know Sun is doing most of its TV advertising for All and Snuggle. All was recently featured as a "brand challenge" on "The Celebrity Apprentice"; if you search the Web, you'll find commercials for All by Joan and Melissa Rivers!

"Active Cleaning"

I used Surf on my laundry yesterday, and now it smells so "fwesh". Active cleaning is just a fancy term for hydrogen peroxide being added to the detergent.

And now it is reported that Sun will be ad-blitzing its newly acquired Lever products. I've notice more ads on TV here. I know that they are trying to recapture more of the coin vended laundromat market.
