Hope this hasn't been shared before - a 1973 cinema* ad film for Kalmarkök with Höganäs tile and Kockums appliances. The epitome of Swedish 70's kitchens (though the integrated side by sides are pretty much standard) with a range without solid elements and a rotisserie - and the freezer is frostless.

Kalmarkök and Kockums are no longer, as far as I can tell, still in those businesses. Höganäs made the tiles for the Sydney Opera House and is still in business and there are still Höganäs tile products.

*No tv advertising until more recent times.

Glad you liked it!

They had a really deep green and deep orangy red (with the burnt edges) that was more popular than the gold. Powder blue was a bathroom fixture color in the 60's there.

Here's another advert, or commercial if you prefer, set in what (which I think IS - with different appliances) looks like the same kitchen (random find too). For cake mix.

Here's one with the green appliances (I think they are Husqvarna - iirc the range with the floating control panel is theirs) - also a lot less theatrical.

Detergent Commercial 1972

Thank you for posting the ads, I have really enjoyed watching them.

The thing that struck me about the one with the lady making a cake was that she seemed somewhat mature for the clothing but thats a small point - that certainly is a wonder cake mix.

I found this one for Luvil detergent, I would love to know more about the washing machine :)

Kitchens 1969

I was surprised by the style of the cabinets prenented in the earlier kitchen adverts, these would have been much more as I would have expected. This may be a selection of mnaufacturers as the orange kitchen towards the end is UK Hygena with, I think, a Leisure sink. Just after appears to be some sort of microwave
