I think this set has lighted controls, see the plastic panel between the console and top. It probably also shines up thru the dial. These were expensive back in the day. I hope someone gets them. alr

The seller finally got back to me today and said he has accepted my offer! We are setting up a day early this week for me to go get them, perhaps tomorrow morning. I am so excited and even more excited that it is gas. I may have to swap a set out to use it now or run more gas lol.

I don't have them yet...

The seller has not communicated with me since Sunday afternoon, so I have yet to have an appointment to go pick them up. I'm really hoping someone else didn't come along with a higher offer that he took and is then going to ignore me.

I'll let everyone know when I have them.

I have them!

After a long saga, I was able to connect with the seller and picked them up today.

Pics to follow but they have quite a bit of rust. The dryer drum and base don't look so good. The washer may have rust begining to form inside the tub, but I'll be able to tell better when I clean them up.

I think these need a spa treatment down in Maryland with the skilled hands of John. ;-)

Congratulations on getting a really cool WP pair, I will be interested to see pictures and even if quite rusty parts donor machines are around for this vintage washer and dryer. I have been working on a 1966 Whirlpool Imperial Mark-12 washer that was so tired that all I really ended up saving was the top, control console, three speed motor and wiring harness, but the washer is going to come out like new.
