Last night I did a temperature check of my cold water after a washer filled for rinse so I could be sure that the water in the line had not absorbed heat from the house. I was surprised that the thermometer registered 51F. We had a much colder than average December. January has been running colder than average also so I was surprised that the water was that warm. It is amazing how little cold water is required for a nice warm shower as compared with the ratio of hot to cold water in the warmer months.

The tempering valve for cold water supplied to the Mieles and the Creda is working perfectly; delivering 80F water for the cold supply.

Run into a glass for a few mins, 39°F-ish. But that's not truly groundwater temp, as it'd take a while to fully flush my well storage tank (which is in my detached garage). Outdoor temp (unofficial) is reading 35°F.

Wow Tom.....I was thinking about starting a thread about this yeterday......

at my house in the city....with city water I was getting a reading of 50 degrees, I was getting a drink from the tap and thought it should have been colder....

at my house in the country....well water....I am getting 40 degrees....and thats some ice cold water.....so during the winter I have been running the machines with a warm/warm cycle, cold rinses may be fine for the summer, but the winter seems like the clothes are too stiff after washing...

My water comes from the city utility company, delivered through underground pipes. I ran it a bit then measured with an instant read thermometer. It was 43.2F. Outdoor temp is 26F. My washer has a few cycles that will use tap cold water, but most will heat the water to 65F if you select a cold wash.
