Ahhhh HA!

The Problem is discovered looks like the center part of this pulley is mounted in rubber Why? I don't know because everyone of these machines I've heard running is noisy.

Thats a common problem with the 1-18 motor pulleys, Tim. When I was working for Brightwood Appliance, I must have changed hundreds of those.......but of course back then they were still an available part. Philco Blades of Water washers used a similar design. Ive changed them to a standard pulley without the internal rubber mounting with no bad results. Lets face it, the 1-18's are never going to be a quiet machine........ Try a local hardware store OR a Farm & Dairy supply place. They usually have a host of pulleys available for sale.........

Thanks Jimmy!

I knew you had no doubt dealt with this dilemma before As Always I'll take your advice! Thanks again

nice find! Looks like that pulley will be a relatively easy repair. That's a good lookin machine, and has the best price on it too!

The Story Gets Better!

A Wonderful Experience

I had a really great time chatting with my local appliance dealer when I told them about our group they were like "you gotta be kidding me" Im going back next week to see what lurks on thier shelves they told me they had various older Ge clutches..no three speeds tho and One kelvinator agitator full of holes lol and three or four old speed queen fluid drive clutches...So..I'll keep ya informed and take some pics Honestly thier not giving the stuff away I paid a pretty penny for that pulley..I wont say what lol double digits anyhow but maybe I can make a deal on the whole lot of stuff Time will Tell....

spin speed

Tim-

I'm thinking you had the fabric selector on the Permanent Press setting which would probably give you the slow spin speed. Try running it with the selector on Regular / Colorfast or Non-Colorfast and see if the speed is faster.

Also check the inlet screens on your water connections in the back to make sure they aren't plugged. This will improve your Jet Circle Spray Fill unless you just have low water pressure

Beautiful machine. Enjoy!

Patrick

Wow
