Check this out! My latest find I picked up today. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for but I couldn't stand to see this go to the crusher. It was the pod-like clock/timer encased in chrome that did it for me : ) Haven't had a chance to clean it up at all, but it's still darn presentable. Anyone wager a year for this baby?

I will say late 60's. We had a similar "drop in" version of the range that we bought in 1974 when we remodeled the kitchen. Also had a GE "under the sink" dishwasher..... However the range was brushed chrome or stainless and the oven door had no window. It was a great range. It performed beautifully and was easy to clean - in our house the only appliance that worked harder than the washer was the range - Italians you know.......

Is this a Deluxe or Custom Deluxe?I see it has no Electri-clean oven so my guess would be about a 1972 Custom Deluxe Compact 30.After 1972,the design changed once the Touch&cook models were introduced around October of '72.The Frigidaire logo "crown"went to a more modern design and wood grain finishes (presumably leftover dashboard trim from GM automobile factories)wre fazed out.The new Electri-Clean oven models were given a see through window for the oven.

Oh, for a GM built Frigidaire!

I live in an apartment right now, and my landlord has seen fit to supply me with a fairly awful electric Tappan from the early 80s. The cooktop elements are dead in spots, the oven light is not apparantly fixable.....

Oh, for a GM built Frigidaire stove. Preferably with either a self cleaning oven or a "pull and clean" (remember them?!)

The wide coils were the best electric cooktop elements.

I really do totally prefer a good gas stove, but....

The best cooks who cooked on electric (usually out of no choice- no natural gas, or a dislike of propane) I know cooked on Frigidaires.

That is so cool! Definitely a keeper! When I was a kid my aunt had a full-size, 30-in. Frigidaire range in coppertone. Love those big-coil burners!
