Just an FYI. As you all know, those powders have not been available in the Northeast for some time. Although Colgate customer reps swore that they could be ordered by "your local gorcer", if the wholesaler wouldn't order them then the grocer couldn't get them either. Those of us who used these products were forced to order from DEI Services or buyitbythecase.com. Unfortunately shipping costs were staggering - a case of 4 40 load boxes of Fab plus shipping could cost $42.00.
Well, I admit to paying the ransom, but I have found it very annoying. And now I have been waiting since June for my last order from them. Apparently they are out of stock on all three brands and have no idea when or if they are getting anymore.
SO, what is this about? Just to let you know that if you live in an area of the country where you can get these powders regularly at your supermarkets, start stocking up now. My guess is that even though Colgate only recently announced the sale of their laundry detergent business, the production was probably scaled back for a while in anticipation of reducing inventory.
My next strategy is to call my best friend in Tampa and my cousin in Albuquerque and get them to start shipping.....
On a very different note, I happened to be cruising the GE website this am and noticed they now offer a "long vent" dryer that can accomodate up to 150 feet of venting...electric only. Interesting.......
