Is Kenmore done? ... or almost done?

Checking the Sears site I found:
one stove, one above the range microwave, no refrigerators, 4 chest freezers, 2 standard top load washers, 1 dryer available in gas or electric, 1 dishwasher, 4 canister vacs, and a smattering of small appliances.
All stuff that frankly looks like it's the same models they had 4+ years ago.

I guess Kenmore isn't to live on like it's cousins Diehard and Craftsman.

A smattering of small appliances is right—made that what I mainly concentrated on, seeing mostly toasters with covers and hand-operated bread sliceers,no mixers, food processors, or blenders, just to say the least, maybe a toaster oven and saw at least a rotisserie, to say the least…

The only way it would be the end is just to come back sometime later than now and see things no longer in stock or the website gone altogether though just any Chinese company can put Kenmore on just about anything it builds and/or makes…

Think Cleva has a deal to use the Kenmore name on the vacuums they got from Panasonic.

Most major retailers sell them thru their websites, HSN and QVC may too. Some Walmarts and Target sell Kenmore vacuums in store.

Also I did see a Kenmore upright freezer and I think a French door refrigerator at Lowes not too long ago. Probably a couple months back.

FLASHBACK: And now a moment of levity . . .

From a previous thread on the same topic

While spending a couple weeks with his mountain-man grandfather, a young corporate executive noticed that the dishes weren't as clean as he would have liked.  When he mentioned it, the grandfather always retorted "Those dishes are as clean as Kenmore and Cascade can get 'em!"

An odd explanation, as the grandfather lived off the grid and the kitchen lacked a dishwasher.  About midway through the sojourn, the grandfather asked "Can you ride into town and pick up my mail, Jimmy?  I don't get that much so once a week does the trick."

"Sure thing, Grandpa!"

Upon returning, he was blocked from getting back into the cabin by the grandfather's snarling hound dog and hissing cat.

"Leave him be!  He's family!" bellowed Grandpa.  Relieved, James went inside just as Grandpa remarked "Ain't never seen Kenmore and Cascade behave like THAT before."
