I want to say I took a thin screwdriver and shoved it in the front panel near the top with my GE of the previous incarnation/model to your machine. Or was it clips near the botom? Sorry don't recall with 100% clarity.

Front panel removal,,,

A screwdriver would likely be too thick and bend/scratch the panel. Use a putty knife. There are 2 spring type clips at the top about 4 inches in from each side. Locate them, then just push the putty knife in from the front, pushing gently towards the back, while grasping the panel on the side and pulling it towards you. Once both sides of the top have been released, just lift the front panel up and off the hooks at the base. Its very easy to remove, after you've done it once or twice.

Panel Removal

Yes, use a putty knife or similar. Follow the invisible "line" from the edge of the lid indentation to the front on both sides, that's where the clip is. Just pull out.

Nothing would surprise me if it was! Im thinking that I'm also going to ditch the "GentlePower" agitator and go with the Flexcare I would also like to put either the stainless tub or the ribbed tub, if they didn't cost so freakin much!

The SS tub cannot be found for under $200 and the Ribbed for $150

I agree. I cant believe that every washing machine has the same agitator. How boring!

At least in Aus, the Simpson and Fisher and Paykel have different agitator designs.

I say bring back the spiral ramp. Now that was a fun agitator!

wow its true!!! why do most washers have that same agitator? i guess its the standard now *yawn* LOL i guess i have to say although i havent looked much at washers there all the same blah blah blah there all somehow one way or the other generic and copied almost no innovation only a small few....

Speed Queen still has it's own agitator, too. Just my two cents, but Whirlpool/Kenmore DD agitators are just wrong, period! Putting clothes in the garbage disposal would be about the same.
