It's finally done! We're homeowners!

We just got back from signing the papers on Rich's grandparent's house a few minutes ago and wanted to share the news with y'all. YAY!!!

Seriously, it's a great feeling to have security finally, and not feel like we're living in someone else's house. I'm sure many of you already know the feeling, but the experience was delayed for us since we moved back here to take care of his grandmother, then grandfather.

Even after you've factored in the added responsibility (and expenses!) it is GREAT to have your own house and yard. Congratulations, guys! it's a great-looking place, too.

We always celebrate 6/29/98, that's the day we closed on our home. We also remember 5/4/01, it was a bittersweet day when we paid off our mortgage. The reason we paid it off so fast was that my dear wife used her inheritance from her parents to pay it up. Out of respect to her Mom & Dad we didn't burn the mortgage papers. Congratulations guys, may you have many happy and glorious years together in your gorgeous home.

Gosh they don't make them anymore like they used to. That is a beautiful home and yard. Is the inside still as pristine as the outside. We want to see pictures.
