The Laundry Lab Blog: Lenor
Hiya gang only little old me again. Hope everyone is ok. Its 3:46am in the morning, which I never tend to sleep around these and up till dawn, which means I'm really a vampire lol (only teasing).
Any ways, I'm sitting here, the washing is on humming away in the background. As always my sense of panic rushes in, "oh have I put the fabric conditioner in" which I did to earlier at the start of the wash, which prompted me to write this blog.
A few weeks ago we brought Lenor With Febreze (the pic below) What made me buy it? Well I always tend to by my favourite Lenor which is "Spring Awakening" but my partner tends to like trying out new smells from time to time. (Even though he's not in to laundry what so ever and lets me get on with it. He's slowly grown to take an interest, but won't bring himself to admit it, lol)
So back to the blog, So I agreed with my partner and we gave Lenor With Febreze a try. According to him it was a "modern smell", I was quiet confident, because I assumed it wasn't much different to "Lenor Alpine" (during the 90s).
So I used it on the first couple of loads, and to be honest I really didn't like it and found it rather harsh. Where had the Alpine smell gone, I thought to myself? Great another fabric conditioner gone to waste, (which the same happened to "Sleep Sensation" I tell you now, never buying that again either). Oh well its brought now, so I have to stick with it, and I'm sure my partner will like it. I thought I was fussy with smells, but my partner, it another story lol.
So as usual I washed and Iron the clothes, packed them away all smelling of Lenor With Febreze. Now no ego talk here, I'm just relating back on what my partner tells me, he love's the way I do the washing and the way the clothes smells nice.
He has this little habit and gives the clothes a sniff before he puts them on.
LOL not in this case, ever since the Lenor With Febreze into the household, its been very different. Couple of days ago, I got my partner a clean set of clothes, for him to wear around the house. He gave them a sniff and he didn't look at all pleased. Bless, the Lenor had failed him and quoted "the smell is something my gran would use" he was right and I totally agreed with him and soon I'll be back to Lenor "Spring Awakening".
Back in the days, Lenor was one of the best fabric conditioners in my books. Lenor always gave you an option to have a choice on the way your clothes smelled and they did that! But over the years its becoming a different story and Lenor by far is becoming very disappointing. Even Summer Breeze is not what it use to be and its was always my other option to buy.
Since they've been making compact fabric conditioners, I'm finding them more and more harsh and to rich for my liking. In this case I give "Lenor With Febreze" the thumbs down.
Phew! That's my rant over lol. Until next time, take care gang!
Thanks for reading - Hass
