Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

The machines were made at the CAMCO (Canadian Appliance Manufacturing Company) plant in my native town of Montréal, Québec.   I could drone on for ages about the differences and subtleties of the Canadian-built appliances, but to try to sum up, it was done to be able to offer them at a lower price to the Canadian market (there were tarriffs and duties on items imported from the USA back then and these were added to the retail price).

Do you or anyone have pictures of those differences?

This is so fascinating. I love subtle differences between various brands like GE and Hotpoint. So similar, yet sometimes so different. I've gotten the notion that while global standards had to be followed, it seems like engineers also had discretion for each brand resulting in evolutionary forks.
