way to go, dadoes!

Congrats on a great historic machine! Whee! Show us more and keep us posted. Maybe there's hope for some of us.

I tried to look at the washer

so I didn't have to see the Ghetto Mart in the background.

CONGRATS!!! It's a beautiful washer. Have lots of fun with it!!!!

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations on your new find... The suspense of it was almost overwhelming. HA! HA! From the pictures, it looks like it is in great shape. I bet it runs like a top as well.
Kind of a strange place to take possession of a beauty like that though. HA! HA! Look forward to seeing some videos of it in action.

Woohoo! What a great way to start a collection! Are you going to install it in the garage? Or is there room in the laundry? The tub and agitator look like they are in great shape.

Love at first sight

Wow. This one is almost exactly like the one my Aunt Shirley had in her kitchen on the South Side of Chicago. I remember the agitator being black.......and there seemed to be a metal extension on the drain hose going into the kitchen sink. Of course.......no outer tub......so that awesome sound of water hitting the cabinet during the beginning of the spin. Take me away, Calgon!!!

no outer tub

So Hotpoint wasn't the only to have no outer tub originally? Never knew Frigidaire ever did that.

Glen its beautiful!!! Congratulations again, I'm so happy for you. That is one of the most fun Unimatics with no outer tub, the water sounds are incredible!

WoW

Wiping the drool from my mouth... What a beauty, Congratulations Glen. Like Angus, I'm another one of those inquiring minds.

And one of the reasons I love this site so much, learn something new. I always thought all automatic washers had an outer tub. How do these "tubless" washers work?
