I've been hearing bits and pieces about a US government satellite which is supposed to drop out of orbit and crash back to Earth sometime in February.

The last item I heard said that scientists believed 'pieces of significant size' would not burn up in the atmosphere, and that they are speculating the remains will hit ground somewhere in North America.

I've been too buried in work to do much investigating. Anyone know more about this event?

Wasn't a toilet seat that fell to the Earth from the space shuttle the premise of what that killed the "protagonista" on "Dead Like me"?

Brings to mind also a MAD magazine comic where archeologists 2,000 years form now unearth a toilet seat and have no idea wht it is. Their idea of what it was used for is a primitive tribes-man in a grass skirt with a bone through his nose wearing it around his neck. *LOL*
