The Twins have arrived!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Congratulations

Hi Jon,
Congratulations on your new arrivals. I love the design of the controls they remind me of a vintage automobile I have seen, not sure of the make though.
I wish you many years of happy Westinghouse washing and drying.

All the best.
Hugh

Hi Mike, Hi Hugh

Yes Mike these are the machines that get the hopefully available boots from the English Electric Liberator. Lets cross our fingers.

Didn't you love the Combo for Days picture you took??

The lid flap you guessed it is for the lint trap. You open it up and there is a giant spring like a slinky that is wrapped in someones Nylon stocking and the exhaust has to pass thru that thereby catching the lint. So you have to scrap the lint off the stocking around the spring.

I'll get some detail photos up so you can see.

Jon ... what a beautiful set ~ how proud you must be!!

I think your story of retrieval only adds to the total experience!!

Good things in life don't always come easy, huh?

ENJOY!!!

Minty Fresh

WOW they are just beautiful Jon, I'm so happy for you, I know how long that L-110 washer has been on your dream machine list. I can't believe how "minty-fresh" they look!

Wow!

Jon, that is a totally cool set. Congratulations! Is that the only set where the timer changed colors? I'd never heard of that before and I can't wait to see it happen!

You're going to need to make room for these babies, so why don't you get rid of that crappyass old avocado GE combo you have taking up space? I'll send you my address; be happy to take it off your hands!

By the way, what's the red thing on top of the dryer? Some kind of automatic scrubby thing?

Jon,
Thanks for the story of how you found this great set.
I am glad that you guys made it back okay.
Can you take a picture of the tub when you get a chance?
Have fun with them!

Illuminated Personal Scrubber

Dear VeG & Mike, I think I seee light emanating from the uncorded end of that. Jon is a highly skilled restoration surgeon and he must scrutinize throughly before weilding his tools.

Jon that is quite a story, glad that it all turned out fine. Isn't it great that there are others out there that even though they don't want to keep the machines they still want them preserved. Can't wait for more pictures. Terry

Beautiful set Jon- I guess it's time for me to visit Boston again - haven't been near it in 5 years since the "ex" left. But.........
