i had a Miele WT2670, easily the worst ive ever had, the programming was awful, the rinsing was awful, clothes never came out clean, and the dryer took about as long to dry 2.5kg as a normal dryer took to dry overloaded!!

as for the dryer, it has to be the philco dn500 i had, the tumble speed was too fast, the air flow was weak and it too ages to dry

What Servis model was that @ Liberatordeluxe

I cannot remember the model number, I remember the programs were printed onto the top edge of the control panel it had 3 buttons and the program knob.
Old Servis machines were great, but this had nothing to do with them only the name.

The worst I've actually owned is also strangely the best: a belt drive Kenmore. Important note, before the Kenmore fans come after me, ready to beat me repeatedly with a Roto-Swirl agitator, it was the "worst" by default--I have only owned one, maybe two washers, both BD Kenmores.

If only that machine were the worst I've ever used... [Lord Kenmore sighs an unhappy sigh.]

The worst I've had to use in a rental arrangement is almost a cliché: early 1990s Frigidaire. No real reliability problems, except one needed a helping hand towards the end to get into spin. This surprises me, given the reputation of the WCI design. But neither machine did a very good job of washing clothes. I got by OK, mainly with a mix of care, plus the fact that most of my laundry needs are freshening, not dealing with horror loads. If I were the spouse of an auto mechanic, who insists getting work clothes as clean as possible, and insists that the Frigidaire will have to be the washer we use as long as it lasts, I'd probably have blown my brains out in a week.

Worst dryer: ca. 1990 Hotpoint, which took forever to dry a load of clothes. Of course, it may have been some issue with aging in that dryer.

Another 'not so great' washer is a c. 2008 & newer Wascomat Triple Loader because the hot water setting never works; but at least it does the job

Well spotted Rob, yes that's the pile of shite............urrchhh makes me shiver, I even modified the thermostat so it would do a 40o cottons wash.........bloody thing :-(

Maytag Mother bought when our 1969 Rollermatic Frigidaire died, it was a POS from day one, the first week the drain hose came loose from the tub and flooded the house!,,,it rarely would spin without getting out of balance and kicking off..and after using a Frigidaire mother found out that even though the tub was larger, it wouldn't handle but about 3/4 of the load the Frigidaire would...It turned me against Maytag completely, we replaced it in 2 years with a GE Filter Flo that washed great.

Samsung-Maytag

Neptune in 2005...wouldn't balance, dumped softener right on top of clothes, sprinkled the clothes with hardly any water, and it was just huge!  Kept it 2 days and decided to return it to Lowes.  Replaced the motor in my Asko and never looked back...and the Asko is still going with its 3rd motor in 18 years.  Still cheaper than getting another hateful washer every 6 years or less.
