My mother's new WP Stack has that familiar led indicator light set and a board inside. I'm hoping hers doesn't go bonkers on her. She's so leary of Computer Boards. Then a few weeks ago they had to buy a new fridge. They got the smallest WP branded SxS. Of course it has a board in it with a display on the front. She told daddy if her dishwasher were to die she's just wash by hand. I told her I would let her use my old Maytag while I fix her kudi23 if need be. I still have a brand NIB KitchenAid motor for hers or mine.

It's so crazy about the washing dishes by hand that some people do even with dishwashers...I experienced having to do this in 2014 when I had to wait like 3 weeks for my Maytag dishwasher to get here... then had to find someone to install it...all that time I had to do dishes by hand... and while you think that doesn't seem like a difficult chore... it was freaking annoying... Maybe I just don't have the right setup... but what I found most annoying is anytime I dish went in the sink, be it a dirty spoon, a glass, etc... whereas I would normally just put it in the dishwasher... It was just sitting there, in the sink, bugging me...so I'd have to wash those...then a few hours later... same... I just find not having a dishwasher to be a total TOTAL pain. Now, if you had meal dishes getting washed all at once..that might be different... but when you have a scattering of dirty dishes being put into the sink throughout the day... such a pain

don't think for a second I wouldn't risk getting a dishwasher with a potentially faulty board vs not having one at all. I mean, even if I were desperate, I'd take one of the most cheap BOL dishwashers over not having one at all...I will die on that hill

Dishwashers

Somebody once mentioned to me that they had replaced one of their fitted cupboards with a second integrated dishwasher, so they can load one up as they use the clean dishes from the other, and don't have to bother to put the washing up away!

I rather liked the idea, also handy if one breaks down.

If only Speed Queen built appliances other than just laundry

I'm scared. I ran across this yesterday and watched the entire thing. It looks like a compilation of tiktok's from people's broken down appliances and repair experiences. The Kitchenaid one was crazy! She just wants her fridge fixed... that's all she wants.
