Picked up something interesting...a little paperback called The Gas Cookbook, from 1956, apparently published in St. Louis. In addition to the recipes, there are instructions on how to drop light your oven (if your stove is old or BOL) and a chart of temperatures for the Burner-with-a-Brain (if your stove is deluxe). Perhaps best of all, the back cover photo depicts the kitchen "of a typical modern-day gas utility," complete with Servel gas fridge and forty-inch Magic Chef range! I'm afraid I don't have a scanner, so all I can do is ask...is anyone else familiar with this little book?
