There's Nothing Like A Hoover When You're Dealing With Dirt........

The lint filter on Hoover is not removable. It is a 360 degree mesh ring around the front door port opening......Seems quite unique. Im eager to get this dryer working and test it out to see how all these unusual features actually perform......

Thanks to Gansky for saving these in Iowa and thanks to John L. for trading them to me. I do believe this to be a pretty rare set and a worthwhile restoration. Its not going to be an easy one, but will surely be worthwhile at the end result. Oh, here is Tom Anderson, Hoover collector par excellence who came over to initiate this set! Thanks Tom! It was a fun night!

It BeHOOVEs me to congratulate you on this rare set.

There's lots of Hoover in Aussie but probably not a lot of them here. Just don't use a Constellation motor or the washer will float off the ground and go where it wants to LOL.

sold these in the States, but for like 25 minutes* in the early 70s.

Would Lime-A-Way or CLR take care of the washer lid?

*A slight exaggeration, but I only remember them on sale for about two years.

Wow, another AWESOME catch!!! I'm amazed at how big the dryer door is, on a par with those 1970's GEs, and the ramp agitator really could pass for a Westinghouse! That tub ring and 6-splined agitator shaft are wild!

Greg told me about finding this set once...doesn't the washer spin but not agitate because the transmission is locked up or something like that?

Silver Marks

This may be too early to ask, but what do the three silver looking blocks staggered in the wash phaze of the "Special Cycles" mean?

Probably cool down drain, then cool down fill

There's a similar mark on the dryer timer with a letter C in it (probably meaning Cooldown). The washer marks probably have letters in them that didn't come through in the picture.
