Oh I Shouldn't Worry Too Much About The Jackson Estate

By all accounts young Mr. Jackson learned well at his father's knee about business affairs.

His recordings and such still pay royalties, and given the recent upsurge after Mr. Jackson's death, that source of funds will only grow. Without interference from Mr. Jackson persons with solid experience and judgement will run his (rather the estate's )finances and that should turn things around. Outgoings will cease aside from what is paid out via terms of the will. Also without personal affections interferring, much of the "stuff" Mr. Jackson gathered durning his lifetime can be disposed of, hopefully at a profit.

Remember Marilyn Monroe died with little more than she stood up in, but today her estate is worth quite a penny.

she wasn't that broke actually!

she had just signed a new contract with fox for a million bucks to finish "somethings got to give" and to do "what a way to go".

ofcourse there are really no comparisons between her death and michael jackson's. marilyn was murdered, michael was not. i equate his death more to the likes of anna nicole smith, or elvis, most probably elvis will be the likely comparison!

Quack Quack dice el pato.

~Again, why was Mr. Jackson's personal physican at the residence, and why did he perform CPR alone first for a good while before the 911 call was placed?

....and why, if MJ was already pronounced dead on the site/scene (in his home), did the good "doctor" insist that the deceased be taken to the hospital?

"and why, if MJ was already pronounced dead on the site/scene (in his home), did the good "doctor" insist that the deceased be taken to the hospital? "

Under California law when a person dies of unknown circumstances and or physican cannot sign a death certificate, the person/body must go to the ME's office.

As to why Mr. Jackson was taken to hospital, again given his relative youth and no known health conditions,it was perhaps thought the more intense emergency work up available at hospital would revive him. Long as CPR is being performed that means blood and more importantly oxygen is reaching the brain, which would diminish chances of damage to that and other organs. However after about an hour, it pretty much is time to give up the ghost. Had it not been such a famous person, one doubts such extreme efforts would have gone on for as long as they did. Sounds cruel one knows, but such is the state of medical care in the United States.

Every news show has their own in house doctor/medical expert on this morning, and each of them has their own inside "sources" from the Jackson family and the story "leaking" out is this: Mr. Jackson was addicted to perscription pain killers, and has been ever since the accident on a Pepsi cola commercial shoot that set his hair on fire. As a result of that injury, not only began Mr. Jackson's love affair with cosmetic operations (some was required to repair the damage to his scalp from the burns), but also when the addiction started. This is a common story (if true), and would explain many things. Remember at the child sex abuse trial, it came out that Mr. Jackson had a nightstand drawer full of heavy duty narcotics, all filled to perscriptions to fake names, so there is a precedent.

As much as I can't stand him, Maury Povich did an excellent piece on Jackson in 2003. Either a lot of things said about Michael simply weren't true, or he was a pathelogical liar. Not much wiggle room in betwen those two choices.

Regardless, IMO many of Jackson's comments (e.g. on "the other side" of fame) are heartwrenching. Be careful what you wish for, and don't judge anyone until you walk a mile in their shoes.

This is part 6, parts 8 and 9 are also pretty good.

Interesting Things To Watch

One, will the Jackson family have tasteful and dignified services, or will the thing turn into a media circus with live feed video worldwide, with heavy fees attached of course.

Unless Mr. Jackson's will (or wills, as there are rumours more than one exsist), declares otherwise, a bulk of his estate naturally and legall will go to his direct heirs, the children. This is important as they are all still minors thus whomever is granted custody, probably may also be in line for substantial sums, and or could petition a court for sums. This is of course unless Mr. Jackson pulled an "Auntie Mame" where the children and funds are handled by different persons.

What will become of the Jackson family? Mr. Jackson senior was a smart businessman to be sure, but the highest grossing person in that family to date was Michael. Will be interesting to see who gets what in terms of bequests, as it will probably make a difference in many of the surviving family members lives. I mean one does not expect Mrs. Jackson to start taking in laundry, nor LaToya to start flipping hamburgers, but still.

What probably will happen will the same as many other famous person's estates, such as the recently deceased Yves Saint Laurent, the estate will have an auction. Michael aquired lots of, well "stuff" in his life much of it very expensive "junk", it has to go somewhere. There will also be death duties pay and judgements outstanding.

As for scandal and tittle-tattle, it is almost certian the floodgates will open. Already the family of the boy who was paid 15 million to settle a lawsuit is making noises. Then there are all those handlers, staff, and hangers on who have just lost a meal ticket. Decorum dictates such persons keep their mouths shut, but that won't put meat on their tables.

After Mr. Versace's murder a tell all scandal ridden book was written, and even made it to the publishers, where it sits today still, locked away. Apparently Donna Versace and the Versace family made serious threats (legal and perhaps otherwise), to the author and publisher, so that was the end of that.

Already one family who was paid 15 million dollars by Mr. Jackson to hush up something that went on between the man and their son,now feels the death of the former frees them from any previous legal agreements to keep quiet. You can bet they won't be the last.

Already taken care of. The legal settlement includes a gag order in the event of Michael Jackson's demise.

You are all right about the upcoming fireworks, the Jackson family has been known to have large family fights over money before. I think Janet & LaToya are going to get into a screaming hissy over this.

I haven't seen this much news coverage of anyone since the assassination of JFK.

Oh I don't know.

Princess Grace's death and funeral had worldwide and quite extensive coverage.

However still think the death of Diana, Princess of Wales ranks up there and perhaps surpasses the furore over MJ's demise.

As for the Jackson family and money, again MJ has three children, and unless they are disinherited or some such they probably will come in for the lot, and of course whatever the estate brings in for the future. In due course of time the children will produce, and so on, therefore unlike say Marilyn Monroe's estate, MJ's will not only have active heirs to supervise, but to support as well.

It is going to be very interesting to see if any of the Jackson family tries to push aside claims by either of the mothers of MJ's children. Though on what grounds escapes me.

I think the first thing they should do is to order DNA testing to make sure the kids are really his. I somehow doubt it.
I heard a story today that Debbie Rowe, the mother of two of the kids negotiated her parential rights back from Michael back in 2006. But this hasn't been confirmed yet. If true, she'd be the person the kids would go to. But Michael has said before that he'd rather let the Nanny have them, or even his own mother.

By the way, Dr. Murray's office in Houston is in a rather ghetto part of town. The interviewed his receptionist on the news last night. She only had one of two teeth in her mouth!

Debbie Rowe

Is the mother of two of the children, and though she did get her parental rights back (during the MJ's child molestation trial), according to news reports just being the mother of the children does not automatically mean she will end up with them.

First it will depend upon whom MJ named as guardian in his will. In probate or family court a judge, by Californina law can and does take into account several factors in determining whom is the best for the children. If Miss. Rowe hasn't been near the children in ages, or has had limited time, versus someone else, then the later may have a stronger claim.

According to tittle-tattle by onetime nanny to the Jackson brood, MJ was "addicted" to pain medication, and his home or homes were filthy. The woman goes on further to say that funds were in short supply. So much so that when the nanny wanted to give one of the children a birthday party with decorations an such, she had to put the bills on her credit card.

Will You Be There

Hold me
Like the river Jordan
And I will then say to thee
You are my friend

Carry me
Like you are my brother
Love me like a mother
Would you be there?

Weary
Tell me, will you hold me?
When wrong, will you scold me?
When lost, will you find me?

But they told me
A man should be faithful
And walk when not able
And fight til the end
But I'm only human

Everyone's taking control of me
Seems that the world's
Got a role for me
I'm so confused
Will you show to me
You'll be there for me
And care enough to bear me?

(Hold me) Show me
(Lay your head lowly)
Told me
(Softly then boldly)
(Carry me there)
I'm only human

(Lead me)
Hold me
(Love me and feed me)
(Kiss me and free me)
(I will feel blessed)
I'm only human

(Carry)
Carry
(Carry me boldly)
Carry me
(Lift me up slowly)
(Carry me there)
I'm only human

(Save me)
Need me
(Heal me and bathe me)
Lift me up
(Softly you say to me)
(I will be there)
I will be there

(Lift me)
I'm gonna care
(Lift me up slowly)
(Carry me boldly)
(Show me you care)
Show me you care

(Hold me)
(Lay your head lowly)
I get lonely sometimes
(Softly then boldly)
I get lonely
(Carry me there)
Carry me there

In our darkest hour
In my deepest despair
Will you still care?
Will you be there?

In my trials
And my tribulations
Through our doubts
And frustrations
In my violence
In my turbulence
Through my fear
And my confessions
In my anguish
And my pain
Through my joy
And my sorrow
In the promise of another tomorrow
I'll never let you part
For you're always in my heart
