Hi, guys! :)

I am guessing a thread like this has appeared before, but in case it hasn’t, have any of you noticed how some household products – for example, bath oils, soaps, shampoo, etc. – smell almost identical to laundry products? I know that may sound like an obvious question, especially as most products are perfumed anyway.

I know many of us do perhaps recognise a particular, non-laundry, product smells just like a laundry product!

As an example, having not noticed this before because 99% of my stuff is unperfumed, I have a bath oil on prescription (for eczema) called Aveeno. When I first used it a few weeks ago, despite being unperfumed, it smelt just like Persil non-biological powder from the 1980s to me! It was great! :D Bathing in Persil powder! :D This oil contains a mixture of natural and synthetic ingredients, namely shea butter and oatmeal, amongst others.

I just thought I would put this up in case anyone else has any nice – or nasty! – experiences of household products smelling just like laundry products, and whether they actually like it. :)

Carl :)

Palmolive Shower milk

Smells like Comfort Creme softener which they don't make anymore sadly, but they do the naturals jojoba one which i haven't tried yet. I use the sensitive Palmolive, as I get itchy with other products, Radox being the worst

A few years back someone said that Fairy Non Biological Liquid (regular, not 2 x)
smelt like Radox lol.

A woman wore a fragrance to work last year that smelled just like the perfume in the GE dryer's air freshener. It was Angel from Victoria's Secret. In the late 70s, some woman was miffed when I complimented her on her fragrance and said it reminded me of original Final Touch.

LOL

That is FUNNY right there.

We used to have a co-worker that we called bounce because his GF used to go overboard with the dryer sheets. One day he was scratching at one of his legs, reached up the pants leg and pulled out a used dryer sheet. That was the day he got branded BOUNCE!

It's funny you mention that....

Now call me crazy, but Armani's Diamonds for men, to me smells almost like vintage DASH. Not exactly like it, but just enough to make me think of it.
