I had a call last year from a gentleman in the midlands who had this Thor Automagic washing machine, it had been in his family since new and he remembered it when visiting his gran, at christmas it was his job as a child with his dad to lift out the washtub and drop in the dishwasher attachment, the one day of the year he could remember the dishwasher being used -

It had stood in a boathouse and although dry was the usual dusty etc, its a heavy beast to lift onto a high tailgate and after getting it home it was washed down and inspected..heres Jon (lavamatjon) & Rich (Richbristoluk)....

It was quickly determined it was leaking from the tub bellows - nowthen where to find an original, quickly poo pooing that idea appliance Dr`s Mathew and Austin shuffled around in said toolboxes and came up with a Hoover Quattro large diameter sump hose, a yogurt carton and some plastic ties!!

Nowthen, at this point I would like to say that it slipped on first time and tightened up a treat - Ahem!!, few hours of cussin and swearing and with a lot of use of the technical adjustment tool - (wacko the hammer)all was revealed!!

After testing all the linkages and wiring which surprisingly passed the pat test, it was time to test out!!

Balancing ring in - this is weird, a plastic disc with a small circular metal disc inside with a load of sand which throws itself to wherever its needed when spinning commences, simple but effective!!
