This is related to an Estate Range from Clyde Ohio. I don't know if it was made in Ohio and taken north or what. The elements are Tuttle and Kiff and under the griddle is the big 10 inch element which gave excellent heat distribution for the griddle and was great under canners. It might have a second oven on the left or Estate's famous Bar B Kewer oven for meats with only a heating element at the top. Thor was headquartered in Chicago.

This was made by the Estate Stove Factory in Clyde, Ohio and is identical to an Estate Range from that factory. This is in beautiful condition. It will have the 10" Tuttle and Kiff element under the griddle. Thor Corporation was headquartered in Chicago.

As Tomturbomatic mentioned, this is comparable to the '52-'53 RCA Estate electric range. Estate was based in Hamilton, OH. I'm not aware of them having had any facilities in Clyde, OH. The company became part of Whirlpool in 1955, and I never knew them to produce anything but washing machines at that location. The Hamilton factory closed in '61. Not certain where Whirlpool ranges were manufactured after that time, though some models were bought from Kelvinator, and some may have been made by Newark Ohio division of Roper (another Sears affiliated company).

Thanks for the location correction. I remembered John talking about Clyde a lot, but forgot that it was in relation to the washing machines. Hamilton remained the manufacturing location for RCA Estate ranges. The 1956 owner's manual I have for the RCA Estate Electric Range shows a picture of the control panel on page 10 and the name of the range is RCA Estate. According to the Appliance trade in Blue Book published in 1960, there were RCA Whirlpool electric ranges going back to 1950, but with features that were closely related to Estate ranges so I don't know when the name change occurred.
