Friend of mine has a Thor GladIron that has finally clapped out. Unit looks great cosmetically and the motor/rotary arm turns but the ironer no longer heats up. She asked me about repairs and the only person I knew of was Mike Arnold, but that would mean shipping and she didn't want to go that route as Thor GladIrons are a bear to ship.
Any who long story short she is going to send the Thor to the knackers yard or sell for scrap metal, and thought I'd let members know in case any one wants the unit or parts before it goes to the krusher. She has the wings and original roller cover, which are in good condition, and think they might be saved,but as she is getting a Miele the Thor has to go to make room. If interested please let me know soon as don't think she will keep the unit around long.
