Re:
Thanks for you comments everyone, I'll respond in order of the postings.
Youtube, nah I don't have anything on there or anything good enough to record with. I don't play jazz organ but I respect those who can play the other styles, I'm strictly classical/liturgical.
Yep, I can swivel my ankles around, I never had any trouble learning pedals... Most people would find me to be old-fashioned for my age. I admire things of substance and quality and aspire as such, but I'm not above having a good time either -- within reason.
If I were trying to win someone over I would likely use an arrangement I have on How Great Thou Art that begins as a solo piece and builds the cadence to full organ with the '32 's and festival trumpets with full handed chords. Or maybe the Widor Toccata.
Hijacking, sure go for it, you all are doing a good job keeping it clean -- keep it that way.
The Organ, originally was installed in '58 by Moller, and then re-worked and added to by them again in '91. An Antiphonal expansion is planned.
I'm not committed to anyone on a Sunday and I don't play for a church, not anymore, and I don't want to either. I work as the facility manager at the church where this organ is. I've been there for 13 years and this is the instrument that started it all for me. I studied privately for 5 years and then "life" has kept me from going any further. I do continue to push myself to learn new things and grow, as time passes my techniques solidify, and improve. The most I do anymore is a few private concerts here and there for small groups and close friends.
