I admit that I usually give a 29 a second look, but then walk on by. I paused this time because it was so clean. Now, I don't know hooey about 'original bag', etc. Then I noticed a largish Hoover box, and looking at the label saw that it was parts for the 29. So I picked it up.
Please forgive that I have posted it over here. I 'checked' the Vacuum Cleaner topic and got a message that I am to go - you know where. But, as many of you know, I can't go there because.... well, you know. So, let me know if showing y'all this 29 on this site is a problem.
Also, let me know how to make the pic smaller, in PhotoShop I sized it to 4x5 and then told it to save a low quality. Oh well.

Sweet! Gotta love an old Hoover. I direct the choir in the church where I am the organist. I have always had an old Hoover in the choir room next to the piano. When the basses get lazy and start the dreaded scooping, I just flick on the switch for a second, and they know they need to stop sounding like old Hoovers. It gives them a laugh as well.

You're not going to make that into a space-ship are you? Not with the original box and book!! The 29 is a fantastic cleaner, I love my 62 (same style-different color) and you will too. Other than the shake-out bag, with a good brush-roll and serviced motor - it can't be beat with a stick for good cleaning. The wife will love it!

I think the system will automatically size your picture accordingly to it's preferences when posting.

If you have space for the 29, it is yours with my compliments. I just wanted to save it from the riff raff. And, uh, yes I would have considered turning it into a rocket or something.
BTW, 'the wife' would never appreciate it (neither would her cleaning crew).

Mark that is one beautiful machine!! Great find. I know that Greg is going to love having it.

Beautiful rig! I just changed the belt in my Hoover 26 today! Also have a Hoover 115 that I love. Congrats!!

I used a 29 for years, what a wonderful machine.I only replaced the light and the brushes in the motor.I have about 16 old hoovers starting with a 1910 hoover Junior,it weighs 50 lbs no kidding. They were doing a renovation on an old house and it was in a sealed closet under the steps that had even been plastered over.It has a clutch in it.It starts up and when it reaches a certain speed the blower and beater bar kick in and when it cuts off it does the same thing. Its one of the oldest I have ever seen,Bobby

That sounds like a very interesting Hoover, any chance you could post a picture for us? Thanks Terry

Woah! Bobby, PLEASE do post a picture of this cleaner, either on here or on Vacuumland - I'm just crazy about the very earliest Hoovers - 1908-1922! If you can show me which one it is, I'll try and tell you some more about it :)
