I just can`t stay away from those places, and everytime I go in one I bring something home. Well it will keep me warm while I`m on the computer!

I love thrift stores!

My mom was always cheap so I got in the habit early of going to "the junk store" as mom would say. Salvation Army, Goodwill, The Economy Center, the Lots 'o Savings shop.
My Favorite junk store used to be Millie Millers in Kasson, MN-near Rochester. She had the towns old freight depot filled to the rafters with all kine stuff! She would buy out old estates and not throw away ANYTHING. Every nook and cranny had stuff in it. You would pull open drawers and she had every odd & end you could think of. Two hours there was just scratching the surface...
Poor ol' Millie passed away here a few years ago. I guess the store was taken over by a relative who "cutsy-pied" the place up, so now it sux :(

That sounds like a great place. There are a couple of great places around my part of Sydney full of interesting odds and ends. But I have to be economical, leastof all because I share a flat. But when I get my own place I am planning on not buying anything new.
