Laundry detergents are a mature product, and what does one do with a mature market/product? Try to find new uses and or small innovations to stand out from the pack. Sort of like toothpaste, toilet paper, and "Kleenex" tissues.
There isn't anything "new" in the above Tide or Downy products that one couldn't have by using separate products, or even some current ones. But hey P&G has to do something to keep all that top shelf space in stores.

Not to mention;
I did see this stuff the other day here at Publix. A 40 load bottle was $13.96!!!!. I forgot to look at the weight of the bottle, but I just thought " If i'm going to spend that much,
I'll get a 63 load box of powder.

i cant believe the prices they charge... tide,, downy... cascade.and the "innovations" they claim to justify their prices... forget about coupons. the prices are still out of the universe. i just dont understand it.

Yeah I really like Gain, but hardly get it due to the price. I try and stay away from P&G just because of the outrageous price. However I tried the new 2X Wisk and was very disappointed, won't be buying it again, and I'm not a big fan of All Small and Mighty so I guess I'll just have to buy P&G and stop complaining about the price.
