Just purchased a small box of Tide alpine fresh..its made in Russia..good stuff..mounds of suds..white with blue specks...did the job.

Do they make certain scents only for certain geographic regions? And, if so, what do you suppose they base that on?

I was gifted a bag of Chinese Tide and I really love the scent. It's hard to describe---kinda citrus-y toward orange, but with an interesting, vanilla-esque undertone. Also white with blue bits.
Does the 'Alpine' descriptor translate to it having a pine-y scent?
Did you find it in a Russian grocery? In my neck-of-the-woods, northeast Minneapolis has a substantial Ukranian/Russian population and maybe it would be available at one of their ethnic groceries.

Does anyone know what sort of laundry appliances are available in Russia? I imagine they are FL but don't think I have ever seen an example. I wonder if they are made by Lada!

The alpine scent is kinda of a lighter-sweeter verzion of the usa Tide..wish i had a cam to post a picture.
I purchased it in sleepy hollow which is in westchester county ny..was a little mom and pop latino store.

This is produced for 'Sainsbury's' - a major chain store over here. I got good results especially on high temperature and plenty of suds.
It has a little round window - just like a front loader!

That box of Sainsury's Perform is actually Henkel's Persil Megapearls, sold under the Sainsbury's brand name in the UK. It actually works quite well (at least the Persil brand), and whitens beautifully. I think the little window on the box is cool! I have never seen another detergent with that consistency before.

I asked in my local branch to confirm and it is indeed discontinued- good job I got 4 large boxes whilst it was half price
