Hello all
Has anyone seen or used Tide Total Clean? I just spotted this at my local Sams, it's part of the "plus collection" apparently but it's not on the Tide website. Just curious if anyone has seen or tried it.

If I know Frig

he's secretly hoping he can find it in POD form!

Not that he will admit it here!

I would'nt waste my time and money buying it.  It is just some of their current formula renamed to make it seem like it is something new.  P&G does this with their downy fabric softeners and is probably doing the same thing with this detergent.

Tide total clean - Tide total care - Tide clean rinse--remember this as if none of the other products rinsed dirt down the drain - it's all the same crap with a different scent and name.  Tide free - oh this is tide without scent.  Waste of time worrying about it and I won't give P&G another 1/4 cent of my money for the scams they push on consumers.

Frigilux, thats exactly what I was thinking! haha

I figured it was probably just a repackaged formula they already had out but was curious as to what they felt made it a "total clean" and what set it apart from the rest of their lineup. How many more versions of Tide can they possibly come up with?!

Andi--- How many versions can they come up with? Apparently at least one more, LOL.

Ben--- Actually, one version of Tide a Pods is enough for me! There are so many pods in the laundry cupboard I won't have to buy any for a couple of years.

Frigilux: Im sure by the end of the year there will be at least one or two new versions or scents that come out!

I've become a bit of a pod-aholic myself, got quite the collection started as if I need anymore detergent. Had to install shelves to hold my growing stash :-/

I did some searching and apparently this version of Tide is special and only avilable at Sams...odd

Frig if you have that many pods

I......well........admit you have given over to pods. Completely :)

Did you try the Nellies yet? Did it do any good?

The Nellie's detergent is decent in soft water, and I really like the super-clear rinse water, but after only a few washes it is obvious the kitchen whites are starting to go gray a bit. I'll use the remaining nuggets but probably won't buy it again.

Where is Ron Popiel when we need him? With the Pod-O-Matic! Make your own pods from discount detergent, enzyme blend and oxy. It's quick and easy! Pays for itself in no time! Eliminate waste and bother! Use your own kitchen spices and make your laundry smell like pumpkin pie or barbeque smoke! Now how much would you pay?

Launderess-- Yes, you did, my dear! As Nellie's has no brighteners, it may simply be a case of the whites looking "normal" without the gleaming boost of Tide's chemical cocktail. Don't want to invest in STPP, so will use the remaining Nellie's nuggets on various loads and be done with it.

If only P&G would make a detergent that rinses so wonderfully! Not a trace of suds in the final rinse, even with mechanically softened water.
