the sauce & broiler pan are clean, as well as everything else. (there is some small specks of badly burned-on grease on the broiler tray, but that will disappear the next time I self-clean the oven) We always use the Smart Wash cycle w/heat dry. Cascade powder & tab or Electrasol tabs work great<br
The machine decides on the main wash temp, spray pressure & length of wash time. The main wash temp tops out at 125F. Even if high temp is selected. The final rinse heats to 140f unless 155f Sanitize is selected.<br
Otherwise, depending on the cycle chosen & soil levels sensed the wash temp can be as low as 105f for china-crystal with low pressure or anything in between depending on what is sensed<br
The low temperature washing is quite surprising as I was of the mindset that hotter 140-160 is required. The recent enzyme detergents are most active at the lower temps and the long wash time really does the job. Albeit more slowly. The lower temps are beneficial in that they suppress etching of glassware, fading of overglaze patterns and other damaging effects to plastics-bakelite materials over time.<br

Now Brent, you've been around almost as long as me!! which means, you were just beyond when I earned the phrase BobLoad at one of the conventions. If it wasn't the 2001, it was the 2002 convention. It started with washers, but evolved to dishwashers too once my prowess was shown.
I know Bob.....

Why don't you just start a "New Bob Load" thread when this one gets as big as the first one that Glen Started
Everyone will go right along with it I promise
The reason Terry started this new thread was ONLY because the other got way too big.
In short we are keeping the "Bandwidth" down for Robert when threads get large, and let them die off to save "Bandwidth".
It is only the New Bob Loads that count right

Leslie...I have not seen the "new" Kitchenaids without the "Hydrosweep". Is it basically going to be this dishwasher you have but badged Kitchenaid

Yup
the new KitchenAid is similar; but the TOL is quieter still 41db. This Kenmore is 46db. Also, the KitchenAid has the upper 3rd level cutlery trays in addition to the silverware and utensil baskets in the lower rack. You can use both or remove one or the other. Its the users choice.<br
The new KitchenAid has additional sound absorbing materials, to make it nearly inaudible at all points in the cycle. Also it comes in a fully-integrated panel version that can be completely concealed with cabinet panels.<br
The KitchenAid and Whirlpool machines have wash arms that differ slightly in appearance and color. Additionally, the Kenmore has the red dots to highlight the jets whereas the others don't<br
It is a fun machine to use and a very efficient & excellent performer.<br

I think older / vintage dishwasher are fantastic since I have collected them for so long. I do however find the new dishwashers just as interesting.
Everything is going to change.
I have adapted to the new front loader clothes washer, and am sure in time when my "stock" of "Hobart Dishwashers" give out...I will need to switch.
I am all for green to tell you the truth

I am not sure what it all means but it is cool
I am thinking that every picture changes as the cycle progresses
I saw one of these on Craigslist a month or so ago. The house they bought was stainless and they wanted white. I wish I would have pursued it and got it for a good deal
Seems like you and Bob are very happy with your machines
