Our latest power bill

We're billed every 2 months. Here's our last bill for the period Sept 13 - Nov 13.
62 days

Usage; 933 Kw.
Total $168.00

so roughly 467 kw month $84 per month

How does yours compare everyone

For the period Sept. 6 to Oct. 4 my bill was 718 kWh for a total of $140.25 broken down as follows:

On peak 81.0450 kWh @ 13.5 cents = $10.94
Mid Peak 124.2108 kWh @ 11.2 cents = $13.91
Off Peak 513.1008 kWh @ 7.5 cents = 38.48

Delivery $64.85
Regulatory Charges $4.69
Debit Retirement Charge $5.03
HST $17.93
less 10% for Ontario Clean Energy Benefit $15.58
Total $140.25

Here's my tou breakdown for the 62 days.. The rates increased Nov 1 so instead of breaking the bill on the 13th of the month they went right from Sept 13 to Oct 31 then Nov 1st to 13th.. hard to compare.. Here's the total kws though vs yours.

Off peak: 671 or 336 mth vs your 513
Mid peak: 133 or 67 mth vs your 124
On peak: 129 or 65 mth vs your 81

468 kw vs 718... . Maybe it's that big organ of yours , every time you turn it on they have to fire up a 3rd reactor.

we're paying the same rates btw

Here's the new Time-of-Use plan that WI Public Service came out with.  It's the only option available.

Oh well, we've learned to live with it, and it seems to working well for us.

Probably my comment will not be equivalent to a local resident but if you don't mind I can share my experience.

Except the gas water heater my home is all electric (including the cooking elements)

Although we too have a quite cheep electricity I can further save on it using the "low tariff" period and days.

Low tariff = every day from 22:00 h to 06:00 h & all day Saturday and Sunday

I turn on the dishwasher at night and do my washing and drying in the WE. It is not an effort but it has become a habit for me.

Since you have a lot of appliances on gas you may not save that much but I would recommend it anyway. You can try.
