Hi Everyone! RoanokeRobert found a 62 Kenmore today. Hooked it up and it worked perfectly!!! Has already washed two loads of clothes in it. Here's a few "before" photos.

This one has that control panel that reminds me of a 58 Frigidaire. Bet it looks great after a bath!
Looks vaguely familiar. I believe one of my aunts had this machine, pregnant Roto-Swirl and cartridge filter.
Been sitting outside long? Great find!

Mystery solved
Those control dials remind me exactly of the controls on mom's dryer when she had the ABC-O-Matic washer. I would have never guessed that dryer to be a Kenmore, But this washing machine controls convince me of it. The main dial of the dryer matched this exactly. Very cool find ! Thanks for sharing !

What a find. We had the EXACT same washer that replaced a frog-eyed Kenmore. Although, I swear we got the washer in 1961, it might have been a model for 1962!!! The control panel took me 40 some years back....what the mind forgets.....but soon remembers again......thank YOU. I remember that washer had an odd sounding spin. Not smooth like the frog eye.....or the Kenmore that replaced it 7 years later. A basement flood was more than it could handle. Great control panel when lit.

Neighbors down the stret had this. Was about 1964 or 1965 when I first saw it. The tinmer had stoppd functioning. The lady of the house was very happy I didn't mind standing there and advancing the timer manually ever two minutes. Otherwise, it would have continued doing spray rinses forever LOL.

Ewwwww, that is one nastyass looking machine! And the neighborhood doesn't look that great, either!
Geez, if Robert found it today and already did two loads of laundry, either A) it cleaned up REALLY easily or B) Robert needs to raise his standards!

Oh that old Kenmore will clean up just great. With a paint job to the lower cabinet it will look just fine. I guess while they are doing all that they prolly will knock the mud out of the spin basket too... LOL!

I can't believe it still works! A neighbor had this same washer, leaked like a sieve! Enjoy the fat roto-swirl, they are so fun. Good to talk with you today, have a great week!
