NOT preposterous at all. Maybe it's time to read Toggles post. You would support that???.... if they do that to their women, you can imagine what they would do to us! ''I am totally proud to say my district in the last election voted the first Muslim (YAY for something different, too many Christians if you ask me) into congress (Keith Ellison). Keith was totally for gay rights so he got my vote as well.'' You scare me. You really do. Mark

Monday...

I started reading the Qur'an. I suggest that you do too so that you know what you're talking about and who these people are that you seem to want to vote for. Have Mercy on us all! Mark

Geeez . . .

The relevancy of the whole Republican vs. Democratic mayor argument just escapes me. City goverments vary greatly, and in many cities the mayor has comparatively little power to make significant changes unless other elected officials are on his side.

Our current mayor in Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa, is a liberal Democrat and in my opinion a weak mayor. He's great on gay issues but aside from that he spends too much time out of the city and not enough governing it. His predecessor, James Hahn, was likewise a Democrat and for the most part a forgettable mayor. Before Hahn we had Richard Riordan, a very wealthy Republican businessman who did his best to run the ciy like a business. He's the only one of the three I'd want to vote for.

In spite of these changes from Democrat (Tom Bradley) to conservative Republican to liberal Democrat, the problems facing L.A. have remained pretty much the same, and read like a typical list from any large city: poverty, crime, congestion, lack of affordable housing, etc. The truth of the matter is that L.A. is set up with a very strong city council, and the mayor can change relatively little without strong support from various councilmen and councilwomen. I believe this is true of many other cities throughout the nation.

Mark, you're one of the biggest jumbles of ignorant fear I've ever come across.

Read the Koran, and then read Leviticus from the Judeo-Christian Bible. Then come back and tell us which text is more filled with cluelessness, bigotry and death. We'll wait patiently.

Cool it girls! Please?

Sorry about some of the frivolity in my posts. But I will NOT get sucked into politics.

The Democrats recently endured a Republican as presdient and one day in the future the Republicans will have to endure a Democrat as president. We will all still live. Life will go on and we will all get beyond it. Yes, even if our egos get crushed because we can't have our way and the "other" party wins the seat of president.

Does anyone have any cake? I'm craving some right now!
Rick R. I'm going to have some of your fresh round pink cake from the other day. It looked scrumptious!

...did I mention the Master shower seats 8?

That's twinks and standard gays. That transltes to 6 bears. Lets see--Me, Ralph, Jeff and his Jason, Ken, BeadsOBleach he he he

Hang in there, Mark. They're Democrats, people of the most tolerant, diverse, all-inclusive and pro First Amendment party out there. Kinda like how Christianist love homosexual people and hate the sin, they love us for who we are, but hate what we believe. Didn't we have a conversation here a few months ago about bullying (the one that drove Turbo Tom away)? Nice to see those lessons are still with us.

"And Robert, Muslims ARE different."

Who is bullying who exactly?

Lowest consumer confidence ratings in 16 years. 600,000 jobs lost this year. Rising unemployment claims. Largest income gap since the great depression of the 1930's. 9.8 Trillion dollar debt. Nearly 4500 soldiers killed, 25,000+ wounded, 700,000+ Iraqi citizens killed. Looks like the disadvantaged don't do very well under the feet of Republicans. The house of cards is crumbling and they're still pointing fingers at the Dems. Pitiful.

Yes Mark, by all means hang in there, because you are so persecuted! After all, what would conservatism (or fundamentalism, for that matter) stand for if it weren't for the opportunity to be a victim? There's certainly no rational reason for it, so wallow in that self-pity!!!

Remember, "Everything is always someone else's fault!" has been the cry of the conservative movement, ever since poor old Ronald Reagan first toddled upon the national stage (That is, after he finked out his fellow progressives in favor of a free ride from his second father-in-law. That's the great thing about conservatives and marriage: If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try, try, try, try again. After all, marriage IS sacred)

Yes, you are indeed a victim, oppressed by those terrible Democrats. Thank you, Peter, for bringing it to our attention!

Boys....

JeffG - You are a poor pathetic soul. TRY and educate yourself. I'm not going to do the reading for YOU, I'm doing it for me. Obviously, you have ALL the answers. So tell me, what EXACTLY has Obama said that he would do, about the state of affairs in this country. So far, I've heard nothing from him except blah...blah...blah....
Greg - Did you notice that my whites were ''whiter than white?" (I soak in BIZ) And, I love the fan. Make sure it's at the highest speed since it's at YOUR house. ;~)

The hills are alive with the sound of...

We've all noticed your whites are "whiter than white" Mark, you made it perfectly clear that you wouldn't have it any other way.

Room for 6 Bears

Oh yeah Bob, I think the group you described would work up a real froth all soaped up and bumping against each other.

Let us know when the sewer issue is under control Mark and we'll all be over to put the new shower to the test. We promise we'll do our best to avoid an immediate hair clog.

Ralph
