Yes i am horrible at typinng when it comes to the internet. I luv to watch washers. Especcialy on spin cycle. I thought i was the only one. so hi

No-your not the only one !

You are so lucky that you have this site. I have loved washers from my earliest memory. But when I was a neophyte washer watcher there was no web site around to tell me I was OK-So I really didn't talk about it alot. At first my family thought it was cute and got me a little wolverine toy washer. After I cranked on that so much the shaft drilled its way through the agitator, I asked for a Suzy Homemaker Washer. At that point I was told "Thats a girls toy" and got boring trucks and retarded books about baseball. Big yawn!
I was nearly 30 before I decided to rid myself of "appliance shame" and I went to work in the appliance parts industry so I could be around appliances and appliance related thing every single day.
Oh, and I have a Suzy Homemaker washer of my own; so the last laugh is on my family....

I enjoyed watching the washer and vacuuming long before I discovered this site. Have learned a lot of valuable information on here, as well as restoration help.

Just as a note, I think it's best to reveal your age when you first join to avoid any conflict; the main reason why I gave you a hard time about your typing/grammar on here was that I thought you were an adult; now I understand. I didn't type all that well when I was 13 either; no major problem.

welcome Compwhiz

I really enjoyed your thread on stories! I think the stories of how we find our treasures are as interesting as the treasures themselves. Don

welcome Compwhiz

Until i bought my first computer in Jan. of 2003,who would have ever thought there was a website for dedicated washer heads!I have loved these machines since my earliest memories.

Many of us here thought we were the only ones with this"weird" interest in these neat contraptions.I guess laundry is supposed to be "taboo".

Anyhow, enjoy the website compwhiz and a warm welcome to you.

Pat

Hello compwhiz

Great story, glad your on board, I just joined recently and
I wished I'd known about this site earlier.
When I was growing up our neighbor lady had a RCA WHIRLPOOL
WRINGER WASHER and she used to sing along with it
WASH it clean, WASH it clean, WASH it clean,
Hope to hear more from you soon!
Kim

hello compwhiz

I, too, like doing/watching laundry from an early age. I alos had toy washers, the best one being a pink Sweetheart wringer, battery operated. Being a male child in the '50's, wasn't the popular thing to do, but I guess my parents were "with it". Glad they were, and I still stand and watch the washer do it's thing.....
